Favorite game soundtrack?

It can be an OST or whatever you please.  
 
I absolutely love the Stubbs the Zombie soundtrack. Its a bunch of Indie Rock bands covering 50's and 60's pop songs.  The Silent Hill games also have great OSTs. 

Mass Effect 2 is in my top spot right now.

any SMT game really (persona 4 and strange journey are the best) FF13, metro 2033 has some great tunes (no soundtrack though), Stalker has great ambient tracks too, L4D and L4D2.

For this gen:
Eternal sonata, Nier, Mass Effect 2, Lost Odyssey. 
Bayonetta also had some great boss tracks.

My answer will always inevitably be Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

the witcher soundtrack was pretty solid.

FF12 or Valkyrie Profile 2. Say what you want about the games themselves but their soundtracks are fantastic

Actually i really liked the God of War ost plus the PoP SoT ost

Final Fantasy XIII, Persona 3 and 4.

Got to agree with The Great Guero. VIce City's soundtrack is almost perfect. I love the golden oldies in Fallout 3 and Bioshock but they are starting to get used a little too often and neither of these games had a massive selection.

Favourite would be between Jet Set Radio Future and Neotokyo; which is an incredible HL2/Source mod that didn't get nearly the amount of exposure it deserved.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory by Amon Tobin.

I say it in every thread about this topic, Donkey Kong Country 2 has my all time favorite game soundtrack. I would leave the game idle on levels and just listen to the level music as a kid. As a sugared up, hyperactive kid I was content with doing nothing but listen.

If we are talking about a whole games soundtrack then I would say Persona 4 and Phoenix Wright. Never get tired of them. 

Quake 2 was awesome.  Grim Fandango was awesome.  Loved "Combat Begin" in the internet episode of Sam and Max Seson 2.  But Monkey Island is my favorite.

The only correct answer is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

More modern stuff: Shatter, the music of Uncharted, Flower 
 
Classic: all the great NES stuff, focus on Megaman and Zelda

 Divinity 2: Ego Draconis has a fantastic score.
