Mass Effect 2 had an absolutely brilliant trailer.
But my favourite one of recent memory has to be the Halo 3 trailer with the kids talking in a field which cuts to Master Chief in the middle of a fight... Bungie despite making good but not mindblowing games really know how to make trailers.
My interest in this game wasn't at the forefront of my mind seeing as I had fond memories of playing this game multiplayer with friends who I had recently moved to a different state from but seeing this trailer raised my interest from minimal to skyrocketing in the span of the one minute it took to watch it. It's an amazing thing what a trailer with no gameplay and minimal hints to the nature of the game can do to convince you to be interested in something.
