Krush, baby.
Favorite Menu Music in a Game
I wish someone had uploaded a good version of it out there but all I see are annoying Achievement-whore videos showing off "how to get The Musician achievement for ilomilo" -.-
I hope I've shared something new. Of course I'd bring in the obscure stuff.
Great stuff so far; that Medal of Honor Frontline one I was seriously considering posting. I appreciate the Crackdown menu music as well as Deadly Premonition.
Oh and Revelations Persona aka Persona 1. The soundtrack is just as fantastic as recent iterations. Listen to how ambient and eery that music is for entering your name!
I could sit and listen to the Enslaved menu for hours... it's so relaxing.
Mafia 2 had an incredible menu theme, from what I remember.
I could post plenty more, but I'll end it with one of my personal favourites... Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
Videogame music really has come into its own. I think it sets a higher bar than movies do, at this point.
Alot of my favourites have already been posted (ME1, Skyrim.) But there's so many amazing themes! Love the Left 4 Dead 2 themes, but this one stands out for me.
This one is just nostalgia for me though

The Metal Gear Solid games have some awesome title-screen music. 3 didn't have any, but if it did it would have kicked ass.
Oh yeah MGS4's menu theme is awesome too! Gives me chills every time.
Portal 2 has a couple of menu themes all of which are really good, but the first is still my favorite.
I think pretty much any of the title screen music from the original Sonic games. They're incredibly catchy and I never get tired of hearing them.
I really enjoy The Witcher 2's menu music as mentioned earlier. Although, Metroid Prime's menu music brings back some great memories.
Edit: Totally forgot about Batman Arkham City, I absolutely loved that music. Fit wonderfully with the game.

This song makes me damn pumped.
I'm glad to see some attention for GC2, I loved the Ground Control series. Too bad you couldn't play as the Imperials...
For the old school PC crowd, I bring you One Must Fall 2097

Yes, this! :o
I spent far too much time just sitting at the main menu and listening to this instead of actually playing the game >_>
When I think back to games I really enjoyed over my lifetime I realize, not alot of them have menu music that I remember. But this game's menu music still gives me chills when I hear it.
Five pages and no Thousand-Year Door?
Also TimeSplitters 2 and 3.
And I'll just add the Yoshi's Island map theme because I love how it adds new elements every time you beat a world (and I realize this is the actual menu theme, which is also great).
I really like the one for the first Kingdom Hearts me. Im a sucker for stuff like that.... I think its the Japanese side of me that shows up when I hear songs like that
@Timing: I hate you. When I read "menu music," the Thousand Year Door song pops into my head. I just went to every page of this thread, and thought I would have the honor of posting the single greatest main menu song of all time. YOU STOLE THAT HONOR FROM ME.
Second place has to be Mega Man 2, and then Final Fantasy IX, and Kingdom Hearts is definitely up there... all taken! What is a BoG to do?
I'll just share a recent favorite:
Easily the menu music from Persona 4. I am a bigger fan of P3 FES, but I love A Corner of Memory from P4.
I think I'm gonna go play God of War 3. That menu music is incredibleOh, and God of War games usually have excellent main menu music. Especially 2 & 3, where I would often scroll up and down the menu options in tune to the theme.
