Final Fantasy 13 and New Consoles...

Do you think we'll see new console announcements from Sony or Microsoft before the release of  FF13? It seems like this game has been in development forever. The graphics look gorgeous but if new hardware is shown I don't think it will be quite as impressive as it is now. I thought a 360 version wasn't supposed to hamper the development cycle. What happened?! 

No, I don't think so. Maybe a new handheld, if that counts, but not home consoles. There must be a lot to the game if it's taking so long. It'll probably be out this year anyway, but unfortunately those of us who do not speak Japanese will have to wait until next year.
