You know how this shit goes.
Anyways, I am going with Streets of Rage, made by Yu Suzuki of Sega.
Final Fight vs Streets of Rage
Ehh.....hmmm......
Nostalgia picks Final Fight.
But, common sense tells me to pick Streets of Rage.
I don't know which is right.
Honestly if you go back and play those games, you realize they both suck. It's best to not replay them, so you can remember them in a positive light.
Beat em ups have trouble standing up to the test of time. Even TMNT, Simpsons, and 6 player Xmen.
That being said, Streets of Rage 2 & 3 > Final Fight.
I was never a big fan of beat em ups. First one I ever truly loved was Castle Crashers, I think.
Back in the day I owned Double Dragon 1 on Gameboy and TMNT2 the arcade game on NES.
Final Fight 1 was tempting because it was an early SNES game, and even though now I can see how much better the arcade version looks, you didn't think of that back then.
Streets of Rage 2 is the best beat em' up ever made. It played really well and stylistically it was great. Awesome graphics and some of the best music in any game ever made. Final Fight is a quality series but Streets of Rage is better.
Who gives a fuck? I'm gonna say one thing, you're gonna say another, yay disagreement... Because we really need more of that around here.
Anyway, here I go, stating my opinion as fact! I like Streets of Rage, but next to Final Fight it can eat shit and die. Final Fight walks all over it, the original that is, I don't care much for the FF sequels, especially not that shitty PS2 one, Streetwise.
