In one sitting? If not, then I should make a thread about that.

I'm not sure, but I think it was probably Pokemon: Red Version. Sadly, I left a lot of games uncompleted as a kid.

@Video_Game_King: No, not in one sitting.

@H2Oyea: Dang... I'm still not use to this world where I'm not young compared to the rest of the users. First game I even finished from start to finish was Super Mario Land.

Glover. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's essentially Jimmy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. With a glove instead of a Jimmy and a bouncy ball instead of an egg.

And an n64 instead of a gamecube.

#13 Posted by MackGyver (561 posts) -

It must be one of the Atari 2600 games I had.

#14 Posted by BongChilla (224 posts) -

Original Contra for the NES. I let my sister play Super Mario Bros.

#15 Posted by Aegon (5703 posts) -
@the_OFFICIAL_jAPanese_teaBAG:  haha I know, that changes in KH2. Although, I kind of memorized Ansem's speech due to its epicness.

Super Mario Bros. 3.

@H2Oyea: after i three attempts in order to beat that boss i never came back to it again...  you think it would make a difference if i just start KH2?  i have that at my house and i want to get it over with

I have no idea. It was prolly SMB or Rygar. The first game that I really sat and played just to beat it was Shenmue. Shenmue is what made me a real gamer.

@the_OFFICIAL_jAPanese_teaBAG: Might as well. Just watch the last couple of cutscenes on youtube and read a synopsis of chain of memories.
#23 Posted by benjaebe (2783 posts) -

The first? I can't really remember back very far, but it was probably Donkey Kong Country.

#24 Posted by Hailinel (25179 posts) -

Contra.  With the Konami Code lives, but still.

This is the first game I ever fully finished.
#26 Posted by jewunit (1063 posts) -

The first game I ever beat played from start to finish was Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy.  It had such a great ending and it immediately encouraged you to play the game again in "a new adventure".  In that mode, most of the enemies, with the exception of the bosses, changed into different characters.  I managed to eke out that mode as well and got another spectacular ending out of the deal.  The game left such an impression on me by having such great music and no dialogue.  It managed to be subtle and yet fill you with such cheer and happiness.  I hope it makes a trip to the 3DS E-shop sooner than later.

Pokemon Blue. I think. I don't even remember beating it. But maybe I did.

@H2Oyea: Oddly enough, that was probably my first as well. Unless you count Super Punch-Out!!!

@c0l0nelp0c0rn1: Yay I'm taking a lot less flack than I thought I would. Also, I'm seeing lots of pokemon 'round here.

@H2Oyea: No laughing here, it's one of my favorite games.... ever.

My first game that I "beat" was Super Mario World.
There was arcade stuff that you technically can't beat so...yeah.

@H2Oyea: Why would someone laugh at you for playing Kingdom Hearts?  The game is godlike.

As for me, I have no clue to be honest with you.  Maybe Super Mario Bros. 2?

I've been met with laughter and insults when mentioning my fondness of KH in the past. Not most of the time, but it was still pretty common.
#47 Posted by BeachThunder (12092 posts) -

Probably Lemmings?

#48 Posted by Yorick (235 posts) -

I don't have the memory to tell you. I'm guessing it would be something on the N64.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex

Either Star Fox 64 or Mega Man Legends 64. Can't remember which one I beat first.

Edit: KH 1&2 are freaking awesome, there are alot worse games you could have finished first.

Like Superman 64
