For those of us who played either the original Pokemon games (Blue, Red, Yellow, or Green versions) or the remakes (Fire Red and Leaf Green), which Pokemon did you choose to take from Professor Oak??

i almost always picked Charmander, fire always just seemed like the most powerful to wield...and you turn into Charizard!!! altho once or twice i picked squirtle, just so i could evolve him into wartortle (he always looked so cool on the trading cards!!) and i may have picked bulbasour once...by mistake...

  Charmander :) He's such a little cuite! Plus I always preferred fire-type pokemon .... well and Charizard is super awesome as well!

I got Pokemon Red originally, though I chose Squirtle. Though really, all three of the original starters were badass. Your options were a dragon, a turtle with bazookas or a dinosaur who effectively had a laser.

Charmander. except in my present file where I was tryingto get Entei, so I took bulbasaur. not before starting another file and trading off charmander beforehand to put on my current file.

I don't know what to choose my first ever was a bulbasaur but ever since I've been a squirtle man through and through.

Dude, what's wrong with you people, why is Charmander number one here? Everyone knows that Squirtle is number one, because he turns into an effing giant turtle with cannons.

When I first played the game (8 years of age... damn) I didn't know what I was doing and exclusively used my bulbasaur. He was level 70 by the time I reached Vermillion. I totally beat the elite 4 with just my venosaur too. I'm awesome.
