Anyone know if this runs similar to Steam with the ability to re-download at any time? I hate to buy games online and only get one download, or have to pay extra for the ability to download for a certain time (I am looking at you EA online store.....)

It looks like you need an US address to get this stuff for free. You might be able to make one up, but I don't really care enough about these games to try something like that.

"Go to Manage Your Games & Software Library (www.amazon.com/YourGamesAndSoftware) to download the game or software again. For most titles, we store a copy in Your Games & Software Library so you can return to our website and initiate a new download if needed."

ETA: For the love of god, the Amazon downloader sucks donkey balls. It keeps trying to re-download, then times out, then is non responsive, then starts again immediately. aieee. I feel an uninstall coming on.

I downloaded the free games and loaded one up only to get a message that I have 30 minutes left in my free trial. What's up with that?

Yeah........... I think I'll pass. These games may be free, but my time sure isn't. And that little bit of free time is totally taken up by much better games I have yet to finish.

I got Jewel Quest II. It seems like a good game to play while listening to podcasts like the Bombcast.

You have to leave the Amazon downloader open when you first open the game. It activates it, then you can just open the game w/o it. It's like having Steam connected to the net the first time you run a game, then being able to use it in offline mode.

The interface is still rough, but the download speeds are pretty damn good. I've only played Jewel Quest II so far and it's exactly what you think it is.

FUCK Pageant Princess isn't free.

My mum actually bought Jewel Quest 2 at retail. The times we live in eh.

It asks me for my credit card info.  If it is free why do they need that?  None of these games are for all ages so the age verification angle is crap.
