I won't spoil it, I thought it was hilarious. It's about the content filter on Gears2.
Funniest Penny Arcade in a looong time
I almost laughed but it was so short and I dont see why everyone is making such a big deal since it was in the first game but funny I guess.
Yeah that was pretty funny. But really, why would you buy a game like GoW and turn on content filter? The only reasons I can think of are:
- You are offended by blood and gore. If so, why even buy the game (assuming you're 17+) when you know what it's about
- You turn it off for your kids to play. Seriously now :\
I don't understand why you would turn it on.

The kid could easily turn it back on so I dont get it but it was in the first game people used it so blood wouldnt splatter on screen when host
I don't understand why this is being blown so far out of proportion, the first game had it and it was exactly like this "new" content filter is being described. In GOW 1 the only real purpose it served was to counter the fact that when hosting a game blood would splash all over your screen when shot for some reason. I tried it without it once upon being aggravated by this and it was too weird. Guys just fall apart when chainsawed, found it more bizarre than blood going everywhere to be honest. And honestly blood and language aside, the focus of the game to kill people does not change so either way why would young children be getting this?

"nope, this is the funniest penny arcadeHehehe, that's pretty good.

I don't understand why there's a content filter to begin with. Who's going to turn it on anyway? Parents? They just bought a game called 'Gears of War' for their child, where the purpose is to maim and dismember hordes of mutant enemies. So you can safely assume they either don't mind their child playing violent video games, or they didn't even care to look at the box. I doubt they would care about a content filter.
The locust bleeding rainbows was pretty awesome though.
the one from last week wasn't as funny but it had meaning. http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/8/8/
didn't laugh at all
took me a min to realise what the hell they were talking about. then i remembered it in gears 1. i like how it made the dudes fall down funny. hehe
the only good penny arcade was the jade raymen one. realy, these guys suck.
Maybe you didn't get it because you didn't hear the option in Gears 2 that allows you to turn on/off swearing and gore?

you can turn it off if a child walks in or you have people in your house who hate blood
