My Vote goes to: The Last Of Us.
A great game that was even better than Bioshock Infinite.
Runner up. DmC. A great game from the start of the year.

This thread is probably going to devolve into terrible-ness, so I'll just say this...
Bioshock Infinite is 100% the best game of the year.
I'd say Saints Row IV or Tomb Raider. I've had more fun with those two games than anything else this year.
Still haven't gotten to playing Last of Us, so keeping that in mind...
Probably Saints Row or Brothers? It's occuring to me that I didn't really buy new games this year. I did enjoy DmC more than most, though.
Edit: Whoops forgot about Stanley Parable and Ni No Kuni, somehow.
@stonyman65: It's amazing how experiences can be different. Those games were so dull to me that I uninstalled them before I was probably at the half way mark to finishing them.

I don't agree because The Last of Us, but it's nice to see someone super positive about that game for once. (y)
Judging by this weeks podcast it is not Brothers. It doesn't even get runner up. So the answer is Candy Box.

If I had to guess, I'd say the majority of people who played the game liked it. Negative comments just often tend to drown out all others.
I dunno. I can't really think of a game that impressed me this year. Did Blood Dragon come out this year? I liked that...

My GOTY is Disgaea D2.
Looking at games objectively instead of subjectively, I have to give it to Bioshock.
Runner up: Antichamber Seriously, play it if you want to mess your brain up...
Spread the truth homie.
I'll go with Black Flag. Nice new innovations, great open world, and beautiful atmospheres. I also enjoyed Tomb Raider for some reason, maybe only because I was enjoying myself in (real) life also at that time, although I found the game's story to be dumb.
Bioshock shocked me when I finished it, but after that wore off it seemed like a "meh" experience looking back at it.
I only own a PC so no GTA V for me.
Overall it's been a weak year for me, especially on PC.
Bioshock Infinite hands down for me Fire Emblem and Device 6 coming in 2nd and 3rd. I honestly don't get the love for Stanley Parable (I found the writing obnoxious and not nearly as clever as it thought it was being) and especially Brothers (I got no emotional response from it, I thought it was really, light and brief in a way that limited it). I obviously don't mind that others enjoy them, but there seems to be a really dismissive attitude amongst a lot of their fans that any top 10 without them is a joke.
I hope it changes to Zelda or Mario. Bioshock was good at the time but when I went back to play it again I got SO bored.
TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU TLOU

I want to say I am liking Mario more than GTA and TLOU but I will let the new game feel wear off first. So far it's the perfect hybrid of 3D land and Galaxy though.
Top three games of the year so far in no order because I can't decide yet are Gunpoint, Rogue Legacy and The Last of Us. I am really enjoying Assassin's Creed IV, so that'll probably end up on the full list, but there were a lot of high quality games this year, so who knows? I can say with certainty, however, that there are in fact 10 games that came out this year that are better than Brothers!
I'm playing Infinite right now. That games combat is so dull and goes on for way too long. Get on with the point Levine!

You're terrible. Surprisingly ACIV is probably the 2nd best game of the year behind the Last of Us. Bioshock is worse than Tomb Raider, GTA V, Injustice, Rogue Legacy etc.

I disagree with your Bioshock assessment, but wholeheartedly agree with your love for ACIV. It is bloody fantastic. I feel like it is being overlooked by almost everyone.
Either Saints Row IV, GTAV, new SC2 expansion, or one of the many amazing games that came out on 3DS this year. Seriously, in this, the Year of Luigi, there were so many good games on 3DS. Animal Crossing, Pokemans, Luigi's Mansion, new Ace Attorney, new Mario & Luigi, this new Zelda that is supposed to be dope, and more. I haven't even been able to finish any of them yet there are so many games. My 3DS went from being my Animal Crossing machine to the main video game device I use.
