When I first saw 'Muramasa: The Demon Blade' I was so jealous for exchanging my Wii for a Xbox 360 (although it was a good choice). But one year on and I still really want that game. Considering buying a fricken Wii just for that and 'Silent Hill: Shattered Memories' as they don't look like they're going multi-platforn anytime soon.
How about you?.
Game you really want to play, but can't for whatever reason.
pretty much almost every game this generation that i like, but cant since i dont own any modern console except a DS.
Persona 4. After watching the ER, i feel like i've seen the best bits of the game -- S. linking. The only thing VJ didn't show us was how naoto's romance would turn out, and i'm fine with that. I'm all the way Chie. Anyways, the grinding really makes me want to stay away from the game, even if i had screamed at the screen when they do stupid things in fights.
I really want to play Silent Hill: Shattered Memories but I don't have a Wii. I'm hoping that they would make an HD version for the PS3 now that the Move is coming out.
Shattered Memories is on the PS2 too, right? I swear I've seen it for that in stores whenever I'm there.
Also for me the game I really wanna play but "can't" is Nier. Some people are praising the game but somehow I just can't get myself to play it because it's sooo boring in the beginning and people I talk to know that I've tried. I really wanna know what the fuck happens and all that since the story is alright but everytime I try to start it it feels like nothing important happens at all in the first many hours.
" Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. I have a PSPGo, go ahead, laugh. "At least you have the PSP.
Overall, I read the title of this a bit differently then what was intended, but I think my answer will still work. I have wanted to play Darksiders since its release, and I finally bought it. However, I am having trouble actually getting anywhere in it. The difficulty of the game is not a problem, but my drive to play the game has diminished after my purchase. I have played it for about three hours, and I keep thinking, "Ok. I get it. This is fun, but do I want to keep playing when I have other things in my pile of shame?"
Shadow of the Colossus. I can't play it because I don't have a PS2 or a PS3, and I feel it is a waste of money buying such expensive equipment for only one game. But man, I so want that game.
Silent Hill 2. It's an amazing game but I can't play it because I scare too easy. I got to the town and fought the first enemy and had to stop. I was way too on edge to keep playing.
For the last five years I've really wanted to like Dead Rising.
I tried it over and over hating it more with each attempt.
I tried it last week and it finally clicked. I didn't get the ture ending but I did survive the 72 hours and had a lot of fun with it.
Forza 3, I own it and am only able to take the game so far and eventually at a certain point the curve killed me and I just could not not overcome the realistic racing. I enjoyed the beginning of the game alot though. Damn, it is a good game, but I am not very good at racing sims.
Guess I should go back to arcade racers. Too bad there are not very many good arcade racers this gen. I am awaiting the new Need For Speed from Criterion, maybe that will do it for me.
Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 1 and 2, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
When the PS3 is cheap enough to constitute buying 5 games, regardless of how good they are, let me know.
" Forza. Just can't get into racing sims..bores me. "Why would you want to play it if it's in a genre that bores you?
As for the question, silent hill: shattered memories but the wii I bought my brother for Christmas is still in my garage.
As best i can explain it I'm afraid!
system shock 2 :( it wont play on newer systems and I cant get it to work on dosbox. Also the simpsons arcade game. I played it in the arcades, but theres no good port that works with vista or 7 (of course)
crysis, but thats going to change in less than a month.
I have issues with motion sickness within certain games - years back I so wanted to play Ico, Jak & Daxter and Dark Cloud, but just the demos knocked me sick. I eventually got to play them, but I had to be careful. It tends to be camera motion that does it for me, and the speed with which it gets me can vary. Numerous others have bothered me in the years since, but they're the ones that stand out for me as to where it all started.
I don't think there's been a game that I've given up on as a result though, I just have to be conservative with the amount of time I spend with it.
Pretty much any cool PC game because my PC is garbage. I have to run Portal in the lowest settings, and even then it's still pretty dicey.
" Dead Space. Too grating on the mind, too stressful. That's why I don't play most horror games. "I was about to say the exact same thing. I have had Dead Space in my collection since it came out, and have only gotten half way through. But man, is it a stressful game. Plus, it doesn't help that I scare easily.
Xenogears I swear I've tried playing this game 5-6 times. Each time I just lose interest and refuse to play any further.
I would like to get my hands on a Tetris DS someday but not for what they charge online.
A lot of PS3 exclusives. I own a 360, but there has never been a game on it that I wanted to play that I couldn't get on my PC- which is where I do all my gaming. There were a couple DS RPG's that came out after my DS broke a few months back, and I think there were a few PSP games but I sold my PSP years ago after forgetting that I even owned one for a few years..
" @Vendetta said:I find that interesting, because I too couldn't get past half way into that game but because it got so predictable and boring. After an hour or so in I knew instinctively every place a monster would jump out at me, and it was never scary because they were so easy to kill. Maybe I'm the only one who had that problem, but after an hour or so with the game it just became a mindless action game to me because it felt like I knew a head of time when something would jump out to attack you about 95% of the time." Dead Space. Too grating on the mind, too stressful. That's why I don't play most horror games. "I was about to say the exact same thing. I have had Dead Space in my collection since it came out, and have only gotten half way through. But man, is it a stressful game. Plus, it doesn't help that I scare easily. "
What was it exactly about the game that scared you guys?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. I can only just run Shadow of Chernobyl on my laptop, thankfully with the Oblivion Lost mod. Even with how poorly it ran I still absolutely loved the game's atmosphere. ARMA II is another one. I have been a huge fan of the first Operation Flashpoint for a while. Basically, I need a good PC.
