Games Teach Us Stuff

The first thing I ever learned playing video games was that YOU CAN KILL TURTLES BY JUMPING ON THEM and that knowledge has stuck with me my whole life. Video Games teach us practical stuff we can use in the real world. For example:

My addiction to History Games has helped me continue History to a decent standard as thankfully events and dates stick in my head easily.

I learned that it's okay to barge into people's houses and ask them for pertinent information related to my current quest. Totally never gotten arrested for it in real life. :D

I am pretty sure that I am 100% prepared for the zombie apocalypse thanks to Left 4 Dead.  Thanks Valve!

Games have taught me a fair amount, but it's more the inspiration for further learning that gaming has sparked within me.  I wouldn't have bothered to learn as much Japanese or computer stuff as I have if not for games.
