Games that came out on your birthday!

So here's a fun little topic, have there ever been any games that came out on your birthday? If so what did you think of them? Just to clarify I don't mean games that came out the very day you were born, I mean any game that came out on your birthday during any year.

For instance in 2008 two games that I really enjoy to this day came out on my birthday of January 22nd, No More Heroes and Burnout Paradise. No More Heroes is my most favorite game on the Wii and Burnout Paradise I still have a lot of fun with. Since I got both of them that day, it was a pretty fun birthday indeed. I'm certainly hoping that Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch turns out to be enjoyable since at the time of this post it's scheduled to be released on 1-22-2013. Fingers crossed!

Edit: Oh, and the Twin Famicom released the day I was born.

According to the internet Bayonetta came out on my birthday a couple years ago. That was a pretty awesome game.

I share a release date with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and Doraemon no Study Boy : Kanji Yomikaki Master (the last game released for the Japanese Game Boy Color). July has a surprising number of good releases in it. They just don't fall on my birthday.

I don't think anything has been released on my birthday.

Probably nothing since my birthday is July 1. Combine the day being weird and July being a game drought month, I bet nothing.

Battlefield 1942 it seems...I've never played that game though.

Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat come to memory. I went out that day and bought them both for a bday present for myself.

My birthday is in June, so I doubt anything good.

Persona 4. Well, in Japan, anyway. It's one of my favourite games ever so that's pretty cool. Don't know why I'm proud of that massive coincidence.

Also, Gran Turismo 3 (eh, racing games) and, this year, NCAA Football 13, Quantum Conundrum and Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure, none of which I give two fucks about.

It would be great if this were a feature on the new site.... eh @snide?

Portal 2 was the closest I can think of, still a day off.

Now if we were to instead talk about things that came out the same year as I were born we'd have a pretty impressive list of cool shit.

I actually remember finding a site that did exactly this once (maybe it was a feature on MobyGames?). Sad I can't find it anymore.

Most recently it was Homefront. Yeah...not good.
 
Musashi Samurai Legend came out on my birthday in 2005, and I was super excited for it at the time. It was a pretty neat game but not what I was hoping for. I think that's the only game as far as ones that I cared about.

I had the Halo Reach beta launch on my birthday. Since I had an invite and got a new TV as a present, it was pretty awesome. Duke Nukem Forever was supposed to come out as well until it got bumped to June.

i can't think of anything that came out on my birthday (August 1st), but there may have been something. Only thing that was close to my birthday this year was Persona 4 Arena, so that was pretty awesome.

After a quick search I couldn't find a single game released on my birthday but I learned that I share a birthday with the one and only Billy Mitchell.

This year Darksiders 2 and Sleeping Dogs came out on my birthday August 14. I haven't played Darksiders 2 but Sleeping Dogs was awesome.

That's actually a pretty sick list of games. I didn't know that BG2 came out on my birthday! My dad might have bought that under the pretense of it being for me and just ended up playing it. I was born on the day Myst came out, so that's kind of weird.

New feature idea: searching for game releases by specific dates

June 1st is an awkward-ass day for game releases, so very little, if anything.

After using the power of the internet it seems Metroid 2: return of Samus came out on my birthday.

I don't know of any games released on my Birthday.

Max Payne. I'm also fairly sure Rock Band came out in Sweden on my birthday, or at least that's when I first saw it available online. Ordered it straight away.

The fact that this kind of search functionality is lacking from the database kills me. As somebody who likes data, I'd fix this before I'd make a single cosmetic change. It's like the DB is made to enter info in, not retrieve it.

Not a game, but the Xbox 360 launched on my birthday. I had a grand ol' time waiting outside Target all night, and I scored the very last one because the guy in front of me didn't want the core system and gave me his ticket.

Strangely enough that Xbox lasted me five years before it red ringed.
