GameStop & Game Informer: A Conflict of Interests?

I'm interested to hear your opinion on GameStop's ownership of Game Informer. I don't want to say that they hide the fact that GameStop is the parent company of Game Informer, but it's not something they advertise. After scouring the latest issue of GI, the only place I found the GameStop trademark was on the bottom of the last page (in fine print). And I don't see any mention of GameStop on the GI website, at all.
 
So does this make you question their ethics? Do you trust their reviews? I'd love to know what you think. :)
