GBCER2' - Choose your weapon!

Phantasy Star II, if only because I've played that one.

I'd like to see some Sam & Max. Alan Wake was great, but not really that fun for an Endurance Run. Phantasy Star II just doesn't interest me, and Wing Commander III isn't my thing, either.

I've actually never played any S&M games (which sounds naughty), but Goodspaceguy is convinced we could get through most of the series if we stay true to ourselves...whatever that means.

PS2 is the tits.

@canteu: PS2 is beyond the tits. It was Final Fantasy epic before the Terror of Baltimore was known to us. That being said, it is the longest game on this list by a long shot and will require us to proper cram. Suppose that is in the spirit of the Run though, right?

So far it's looking like a photo finish for either S&M or PS2.

I vote Phantasy Star II because that is one of the best RPG's of any generation. More people need to know of its awesomeness.

@monetarydread: You'd think with all of the promotion work Sega has done for PSO2 in the United States, that there would be a little heat on the original series.

And by "promotion work" I mean "total failure to do a goddamn thing".

I've never played or seen PS2. If it happens to pull ahead in the poll I won't be complaining.

Which is the one that will cause the most frustration? I choose that one.

I didn't see the prequel to this community endurance run sequel, but I assume it's using that format of dudes playing a game to completion while talking. Given that, Phantasy Star 2 seems more suitable than the Sam and Max idea. I think Sam and Max, with its myriad witticisms and so on, would end up clashing with the commentary over that. The attention split between the game and the commentary doesn't work at all in favour of the way that Sam and Max presents itself in order to entertain. I feel like I'm doing a terrible job of trying to explain myself here, but I think Phantasy Star 2 would work better with the format that (I assume) you're using.

I know what you are getting at. Personally I find it easier to riff on RPG's as I play. However, I watched @amlabella stream Tales From Monkey Island and that turned out pretty well.
