Steam always has great sales, but this weekend's is truly awesome. I got Far Cry 2 the other night and was really close to getting Lucidity today. I think tomorrow's the last day, and I'm personally hoping they put either Torchlight or Dreamfall on the list. But I'm curious to know how everyone else made out. Anything you've been dying for an excuse to get that finally pushed you over the edge?

Get anything good from this weekend's Steam sale?
So far all I got was KOTOR for $2.49, but the other stuff tempted me. Like that THQ pack... but all I want out of that is Red Faction, and even then I'm not that interested in it. I also was tempted to get Trackmania United, but meh, I wouldn't play it long. Hopefully tomorrow's sale will have some better games.
Im going to get BF2 and Im thinking about the THQ\Lucasarts pack. I really can't decide between the two.
Majesty 2, Madballs, THQ Pack. I've been kicking myself for not getting KOTOR.
I want the Valve pack, but only if it goes on sale. Stuff looks good, but that's all I've gotten.
Majesty 2 rocks. The narrator/advisor does a great Sean Connery impression. I thought it was Sean until I googled it.
I got Far Cry 2, the Prince of Persia Pack and Lucidity. Steam and the Holidays are a beautiful thing.
By the way, I'm not a big fan of Direct2Drive, but apparently they're going to unveil an "AMAZING" deal tomorrow. They've also got a few decent deals right now. Anyways, something to keep an eye on. Linky below.

" I offered Borderlands to a friend of mine. "You should have offered it to me D:
Anyways, I picked up Osmos and Battlefield 2.
I would have gotten that THQ pack if I didn't already own three of those games. Saints Row 2 and STALKER on Steam and Titan Quest on a disc. It's still a great deal, but it feels like I'm paying for something I already own somehow.
So far I've only bought Trine, it's the only one so far that I've been actually planning to buy. I got to remind myself that I'm not saving any money by buying stuff I never would have bought otherwise just because it's cheaper.
I hope Torchlight goes up tomorrow too. I've been kicking myself for not pre-purchasing that when it was cheaper since it released.
EDIT: Just looked up Dreamfall. That game looks fucking fantastic! How come I've never heard of it?
" I got L4D for $7.49 and almost got Battlefield 2 for $25, but decided against it. "It's actually only 15...
@MC_Izawa: Actually when I first tried to load the game it crashed my whole computer, then I reinstalled it again and it's working fine...besides that and not being able to put it in windowed mode it's pretty good.
It also prompts you to download some gamespy crap, but you don't have to do that in order to play the game.
EDIT: Just looked up Dreamfall. That game looks fucking fantastic! How come I've never heard of it? "Probably because it's a few years old, and it's a modern adventure game that wasn't made by Telltale.
Its predecessor, The Longest Journey, was a great game (even when I first played it last year) and an amazing story. So if you care at all about that stuff, then yeah, I'd say you might like it.
I picked up KOTOR, World of Goo and Dead Space, though I haven't played any of them yet due to Dragon Age.
So far I only bought dragon age orgins and batman arkham asylum even though I have two copies of the game now, one on console and one on pc as usual. I was going to buy L4D, I thought it was still too expensive for the type of game. I rather buy that than borderlands which I decided wasn't appealing at all. I can't wait to see the next deal.
EDIT: never mind about the BF2 for $10 thing. Turns out EA stopped letting you buy the digital version of regular BF2 recently after they figuered out their mistake. Oh well, you can still buy a EADM compatible key for BF2 Complete for around $15 USD through ozcdkeys.com -- that's how I got mine for cheap before the 1.50 patch and Steam sale.
I bought Batman and KOTOR so far. Almost got L4D and Spore, but I realized I don't really like those particular games. I kicked myself for paying $45 for Borderlands when it was new, once I saw it was on sale for $33... still hardly worth even that.
I'll probably get GTA4 if it drops to $25 since it's Steam. I passed that price up before because it was a non-Steam deal.
Today I got Monkey Island from Steam and Mass Effect from D2D for $5. Good way to close out the sales, if you ask me.
I picked up Riddick since I can justify to myself buying it for $10 when I already own 3 copies of the original Escape From Butcher Bay. I also grabbed KOTOR and Monkey Island Special edition because at slightly less than $2.50 each I see both of those games as being free.
Also, Dreamfall is shit. If you have to choose between it and Torchlight go with Torchlight.
The THQ pack (I am so addicted to Titan Quest right now)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic ($2.50!)
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition ($2.50!!)
I just can't stop. All these good games I was interested in before the sale are now available dirt cheap.

Gettin' a new PC soon, so the Steam Sale is a GODSEND.
I nabbed copies of L4D and the BF2 Complete pack!
Hesitated on Borderlands ($35) and lost my chance :(
edit: Section 8 on sale made me laugh.
Osmos and KOTOR. Was quite tempted by Batman and Dragon Age but am going to wait it out until I'm through with the other games I have, when I should be able to get them for the same price or probably better at some point. There were a number of good prices on games I've already got, as well.
I was a little confused by what that initial money was actually paying for. Was it just a one time thing and I could play EVE for free from then on like with Guild Wars? Did it come with a month's subscription. It wasn't clear enough so I steered clear.
Also, I bought Batman. It is fairly rad.
Osmos for $2, Left 4 Dead 2 for $38 and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for $10. $50 for 3 kickass games, pretty sweet sale. I almost bought Monkey Island but I already own it on 360 and convinced myself that would be a waste of $2.50. Now I'm just waiting for Torchlight to go on sale, maybe it'll happen around Christmas?
@HitmanAgent47:
Dude L4D was $8. No type of game is too expensive at that price lol.
