@Giant Bomb Crew: Buy A Novint Falcon - General Discussion

Rather than buying 100 NES/SNES games and going on a "raid" to Japan, get a Novint Falcon and make some content with it.

This isn't a promo post or anything - I just remembered that the Falcon was a thing that existed, and was kinda bummed out it didn't take off. Apparently they still add games to their support list - even at 250 bucks maybe I'll justify a purchase, for Christmas or something.

They're also making some kind of bionic arm for tactile feedback in motion control games - get that too.

I feel like the window for them to cover that has passed. A handful of games randomly got Novint Falcon support, but that was a while ago.

I'm more interested in them covering games that use whatever that new VR headset is called. I know there was a podcast that said Jeff ordered one, so it's just a matter of time.

@BisonHero: On the Novint website, they list CS:Go, Deus EX: HR and some other current games they've added support for, so it's not dead as one would initially think.

The VR headset is the Oculus Rift. I just saw some game/prototype about an hour ago (already forgot what it was or where) which made me want to get both the Rift and the Falcon, with the implicit support of both. On the one hand, it would look ridiculous. On the other, screw it - I want it all.

You completely missed the point of the raid. The raid isn't the most practical option, it's the funniest, the stupidest. and the one that gives the most content to the site.

Has anyone tried out those games? Which games id you get the force feedback to work with?

I'm having issues getting the controller to properly work with Deus EX: HR? I can feel movement forces only. Any ideas?
