Giant Bomb Own Web Achivement?

Hey guys,

I was thinking about this on the train...and I remembered GS had these emblems for users, similar to achievements but only for the site.

Wouldn't GB be perfect for this due to the wiki-nature of the site?

I dunno...any opinions?

It's a cool idea, I'm sure they could come up with something similar.

Well they already have the points system in place.

It is one of the many features they have planned.

I don't know.  The inherent problem with emblems is that people will cheat to get them.

Stuff like this simply creates gulfs between users, it makes us not a family or community but a place of haves and have nots.
Instead of being like gamespot giantbomb should be unqiue.
It all ready has enough stuff where its haves and have nots we dont really need any more.

These are coming, my understanding is that the biggest roadblock at the moment is the name. Should they be Attainables? Achievables? Achievements? Reward Things? Medals? Merits?

The debate goes on.

I think they should just be called "pieces of flair" because that's how important they would seem to me.
