Would it not be awesome for a large scale Skype Party for us Giant Bomb users while E3 conferences are going on?

The idea is this guys.

We're gonna be, during the press conference, having a big skype call during the Microsoft Conference on monday. If that goes well, we'll do it for the other days.

Also I'll record it for the lulz.

what usually happens is, everyone sits in the IRC and talks about it in there. Filling a skype call with anonymous voices sounds awesome but isn't really practical, it's just a big mess of sound and people whining about junk. The IRC is the best place to be.

Would be cool but I've got lovely college to go to so I can't join you. Plus I'm in the UK so I dunno what time the press conferences are taking place out here.

The last time I tried, Skype didn't support conferences. Has that changed?

for those of you in the UK curious the MS conference is about 5PM so the skype cast begins at about 4:30 PM

Hopefully skype doesn't crap out on you guys. Anytime I've had more than 8-9 people, it would crash for half of them :P

......isn't the max you can do a skype group call with is like 16?  Maybe 30?  And those delays man...when I do the podcast, the biggest thing that takes up the time is syncing up all the voices with the correct timing.  If you're looking to get people from all around, expect to be constantly cutting each other off, waiting looong times to avoid cutting each other off, etc.  It might be a little bit better to make calls by zone, if ya'll are wanting to actually be cool with each other while ya'll watch the presser.

I've been in Vent on raids.  It's a deafening clusterfuck with just 25 people.  I can't imagine an entire community doing well with this.
