Fantastic work, as usual. It's fun to see the way your style has changed since that original animation you did, not to mention catching little background gags like Dan drunkenly passing out and dreaming of Waluigi. My favorite bit is when Patrick says "then take his knife and stab him, fuck you" The timing on that is perfect.

GB should really consider contracting you to make these at the very least. It'd be a great move for a few reasons:
a.) get's people into the podcast by highlighting the funny bits to be shared around the web with hilarious animation
b.) hey it worked for Rooster Teeth. I'm not sure what a Rooster Teeth is but they have the money and they hired a guy to do animations so maybe if GB hires you they will also have the money.

People underestimate how quickly you can swing a bat and the force it hits with. After the first hit, you'd be too concentrated on guarding to risk putting your arm out for a stab.
This is flat out wrong.
Don't be deceived by their foley "thwacking" sounds that are attempting to make this look more savage than it is. Knife wins. There's simply no way a bat could win. Once you close the distance, as Jeff said, a bag becomes completely useless.
I mean, maybe one should say "a knife and a knife wielder with an ounce of sense beats a bat" but it's a knife all the way.

A bat wins if the person wielding the bat is pissed and the person with the knife is a huge pussy, as this video shows. As long as the dude with the knife can absorb a single blow from the bat, knife wins.
@frodobaggins: I'll definitely always consider those days the 'Golden Age' Bombcast. Not that I don't love the current crew (though I rarely manage to get time to listen in!)
These make the bombcast segments even funnier! I love relistening to them, but then when we are going and adding these quality animations to them, they take on a whole new life.

The problem with the bat vs knife argument is that it typically just states "all other things being equal". This doesn't tell us anything about how these two people will be fighting. If they're both big and slow, bat for sure. If they're both small and fast, then my money's on the knife. I'm willing to bet that if we cross referenced the bat vs knife choices with a poll asking what kind of shape are you in, there'd be a strong correlation between big buff dudes and bats and smaller, faster guys and knives.

idk, I dont buy jeff's take a bat hit and keep going thing, if you're bumrushing in a straight line getting a shot to the head wouldn't be that hard, and that might just knock you the fuck out, or at least disorient you enough that your stab is not as effective. That's why the ranged argument is more credible to me, plus if they manage to get close you could choke up on it a little and still maintain some effectiveness.
