Hey GBers,
I've been chatting with my fiancee about doing some 'let's plays' of classic games together. Unable to make a decision about which games to go back and look at, I thought I'd write a little program to randomly pick out a few from the GB database and have her try it out. I think it would be an interesting look back at some potentially obscure titles, and also kind of funny to see her way through (The Wizard, she is not).
For a format I was thinking:
1. - Spin the wheel.. Show the program running, picking out a set of maybe 3 games. I'd probably do some filtering by time, ie. between 1980 and 2000, and maybe by platform too.
2. - Break them down.. do a little 30 second synopsis of the options, with her appearing befuddled at the obscurity on screen.
3. - Discuss the options with her, eventually picking one.
4. - Have her sit down and play. I'd probably play a bit myself so that I could offer some guidance, but it would be hands off from me. I'm thinking maybe 20-30 minutes of her playing.
That's it! Any suggestions for improving the format would be appreciated :)
