I recently switched from internet explorer to firefox, and so far it's been a revelation. Apart from generally much faster browsing, giantbomb now works perfectly where before I had problems. For example while using internet explorer drop down menus would disappear, I couldn't add related games/concepts to the wiki, I couldn't publish guides and often I couldn't bring up quest information.
As a result using giantbomb is now a much more enjoyable experience, has anyone experienced similar disparity between browsers or am I an isolated case?

Internet Explorer is a horrible thing. Google Chrome or Firefox is where it is at.

I'm not surprised you had issues with explorer, but that is coming from my hatred for IE. The worst thing is finding a site that doesn't work well unless you use internet explorer. Worst damn sites in the world.

Well Internet Explorer is a piece of shit so no surprise that there was an improvement.

I myself switch from Firefox to Google Chrome whenever I watch Live Streams as FF would just eat the memory up.

Chrome is the way to go.  I did one of those browser tests and Chrome was the clear winner (and IE was by far the loser).

I think you all may just have bad internet connections ha ha ha. It's not as bad as you say it is. I use internet explorer and it's perfectly fine. Goes to any page, loads a video, what have you in no time. Firefox is just kinda... annoying and less convenient for me. Chrome is neat, but it hardly seems like an internet browser. Just an application that you don't need. Personally I wouldn't say anyone is wrong, but I don't see how internet explorer is bad in any substantial way.

In my uni, which is fairly retro, Tested.com doesn't even open, I actually get a prompt saying, "this site cannot be loaded".

I have to use IE when I go to TAFE and it isn't good. Giantbomb is near un-usable.

I use Firefox at home and never have an issue.

Happens to me too when I drop down on the menu. I just click, hold and move down, then hover over what I want to select, then click it. It's complicated, however it works. All my quest hints doesn't open up though, it's annoying.

It's so cool to hate on IE nowadays apparently. Bollocks to that I love IE, use it all the time.

I must have a computer riddled with viruses and get my bank details stolen all the time right? Hell no.

So yeah, people not supporting IE properly pisses me off as well. Chrome is cool though, only reason I use it over IE is because IE randomly refuses to load tabs sometimes.
