I was looking at stuff on the internet today and i've found this website called SmallDemons.com It basically looks like Giant Bomb or Screened but for Books. You can add places, characters and stuff like that, and then add books that reference them etc.

I know that some people from Whiskey were talking about a website like this but nothing really happened so here's my question:

Are you guys excited for this? Or will you just wait for a Whiskey site about books?

I personally don't care about cross-referencing books, but a website with a Giant Bomb editorial style about literature would be amazing. Long story short I'll wait for Whiskey to make a move in that direction.

They've talked about this before (although not in any detail), so yes I would love to see Whiskey exapnd into anythign else really and books are a great idea, although harder to do interesting content on I think. Also one about board/tabletop games would be amazing because as great a database/resource www.boardgamegeek.com is, the site itself is terrible and there is no content save for what people in the community write or upload to YouTube.

Hell no. I read a lot, but I cringe whenever I hear other people talking about books. Games and movies are so easily digested, easy to create media about, and part of a cultural fabric that everyone is a part of. Books are too intimate to talk about loosely, how you gonna create content about books beyond reviews? There are already tonnes of decent book recommendation sites, goodreads, etc. Then there's all the pseuds that would fill up the discussions.

Once again, hell no.

Wait, people actually read books?

But sure, I guess it'd be cool. If I ever would want to read a book, I would definitely look for one at WM's site.
