GiantBomb you guys are TROOPERS!

Hey guys just thought I'd start a thread about the effort that GiantBomb made on their live cast to stick it out to the end of the (original) Xbox live service. I'd personally like to say well done for gutting it out, for as long as you did, I was there until you shut it off but was not there from the beginning (being that I was at work Perth Australia time). Anyway as a member of the GiantBomb community I think I can speak for everyone here that witnessed the live steam, no matter what country you're from. These guys deserve some props for the effort and dedication they showed to entertain their community, Thanks GiantBomb!
 
PS. After the AMAZING performance from the Vinny and co, whens that  hot new album dropping? Any chance for a Midnight Brown collaboration? lol

Yeah from what I was able to stay up and watch, it was awesome. I had to go to bed around 3 here, Central time, so I could get up for class... I so tired, but have nothing to do in class. Good job GiantBomb crew, sorry you guys didn't get to see the end of the XBox live service.

How long did it go on for? I started falling asleep about 20 minutes from the supposed shutdown time. Do you think they'll post the event on the site, similarly to the Matrix shutdown?

I gotta say though: I fell asleep before they popped the mech-game in.

It went on until 7:17am EDT this morning or so before they decided to call it quits.

started at 6am for me :(

They didn't reach the end of the service but man they showed dedication! I wonder if they'll be working today lol. Unlike a lot of you I was lucky in that when I finished work (around 3:30pm Perth Australia time) I was good, no late night for me haha.

They went for over 6 hours, past 4am. 
 
I had the stream running the whole time while I was doing other things and their exhaustion seemed contagious, I felt totally wiped out by the end (a bit after 9pm here in Tasmania) 
 
But yeah, huge props to Ryan, Dave etc, Vinny for setting it all up, special mention to Drew for playing about 2 and a half hours of Halo 2 till about 1:30am after multiple plane flights that day.

Dood I fell asleep around Burnout 3. like an hour into it lol

Lol well you missed out Vinny was going all out on his mad guitar skills haha.
