Hi!

Im really bored and im stuck with an eee 1005 HA for a long time right now. Im just wondering if you people have any tips on good games that can run pretty well on one of these shitty netbooks? Lets get this thread going with good advices!

Il start out with one:

Ballance

http://www.ballance.org/

A great ball ballance game where you navigate through the level and try not to fall down while fixing puzzles.

 Thanks in advance! :)

On a forum we got a list going for games that could run on the Asus N10 netbook, but that netbook has discrete graphics, but in the list it says sometimes what games run on integrated graphics.  I don't know if it'll help any.

I do know Quake Live and Quake 3 are playable on integrated graphics, just turn the settings all the way down and then some in the config, and maybe do a custom res.

I actually tried out Torchlight, but even on the "netbook mode" it still was pretty unplayble sadly. And Im not really a Diablo guy. Or never really played it... Maybe I should...

Plants Vs. Zombies is a fun game, if a little bit shallow in story. It also runs fine on a netbook.

Here's a list of the games that run well on my netbook. Its a Toshiba MiniNB110 I think.

  • Freedom Force Demo
  • Machinarium
  • Psychonauts (graphics lag pretty bad during dialogue, though.)
  • Half-Life and its expansions
  • Torchlight
  • Knights of the Old Republic
  • Plants Vs. Zombies
  • Fallout
  • Fallout 2
  • Jedi Outcast
  • Jedi Academy

Torchlight  is a good suggestion, it does have a netbook mode. You might want to test out league of legends and see how that runs. Certainly couldn't hurt as it's free. Also, try some old games that are good like Diablo 2 or Starcraft or Fallout 1+2.

If in doubt, demos should give you a good indication to whether or not it will run.

I have not a Netbook.

But I'd assume Darwinia, Uplink, Defcon and any of the old Football Manager's would perform well.
