good kid m.a.a.d. city (The Game, What if?)

So, I promise this is not YouTube spam. But, how legal do you think it would be for Kendrick Lamar to make a m.a.a.d. city game? Ala GTA, but really fucking ghetto. I dunno how violent it would not have to be. Apparently in the album, he rides around in his mom's minivan, and helps steal from some house.

Kendrick Lamar - M.A.A.D. City (Feat. MC eiht)

So! What if they were to make a GTA-ish homage, or even something closer to Hotline Miami to cut down on the budget. But.. I mean do y'all wanna see that? Like, do you like the fish-out-of-water story, or do just like to run around and cause havoc in those games, and don't really care about story.

I mean realistically, could any type of m.a.a.d. city game, actually come out? Or is the reality that its too close to drugs, violence, and straight robbin', too much to even get anywhere past the FCC. Are GTA and Saint's Row, the only things that can be peeved as legal and distributable-product BECAUSE they're so outlandish? It always seemed that Niko only help steal, because he was at the wrong place, and the wrong time.

I dunno, let me know if you know any indie games, that are almost similar to this idea.

It'd be really fucking depressing and people would completely miss the obvious subtext in the singles.

I dunno, I mean, they Could have sections and stuff. GTA Chinatown Wars, has drug hustling all over the city. They could have: sneaking through a warehouse. Acting cool at a stoplight, a swimming pool section, a acting cool with Sherane section? A Master Splinter section!.. I could think of a bunch of stuff, that wouldn't have to cost too much to justify any length and shit like that. Mm.

Would Drake be standing upright or be in a wheelchair?

Totally off topic but I'm not a big fan of rap and I can't stop listening to that song you linked.

This seems like a terrible idea.

I don't think the narrative fits into a game.

Although, I would love to see a whole section of the game about alcoholism.

And Kendrick Lamar isn't even that great. His voice sucks for rap and his lyrics aren't that great IMO. And the chorus or whatever you want to call it is shit. Try Nas.

Good! The fuck does that have to do about a game?

I don't really know too much about Kendrick Lamar, and while I don't care too much for his music I think that encapsulating his story within a video game is a great way for people who get to know who he is and where he comes from. Obviously, this approach would mean that the game had to be thoughtful and not just, "Yo we just made an open world game in Compton and you play as Kendrick Lamar. Go fuck some shit up!"

@blu3v3nom07 fuck it this thread is about rap now!

@flacracker That song didn't capture my attention like the other one did. Thanks for the recommendation though. Maybe I only like shitty rappers.

@grimluck343: I'll talk about rap! Fuck yeah! Why the fuck is Lil Wayne still around? Um, Game Still comes out with good shit! And I still like Fabolous, ALOT..

@blu3v3nom07 Are you suggesting Lil Wayne is the cockroach of rap?

@grimluck343: Yea! ~ He's always getting in fights, and I just don't get how he makes like All the money. He owns all that Young Money shit, and he's just "I'm just so high right now." Jae Millz does Wayy better than him, really.
