So I am watching the Google I/O keynote right now. Apparently Android (and somehow also iOS) get achievements and cloudsaves. Seems interesting.

I have a thread for that here. But let's keep this open to discuss the keynote in general. They also announced a subscription service for Play Music, Google Analytics integration into the Android developer console, app betas, and more.

It's likely that they'll also announce Android 4.3 and the unified messaging service.

Both Android and iOS have "cloud services" where individual games themselves were free to implement cloud saves if they wanted too. Going this route just unifies it.

It's likely that they'll also announce [...] the unified messaging service.

Announced as Hangouts. The focus is on conversations, not contacts. Supports text and video.
