I'm wondering how many of these games that are out there, good or even great games that nobody seems to have ever heard of.
Great games that nobody played
Sacred 2 is definetly one that more people should try. Giant map to explore. The perfect game for those who love loot.
Team Buddies, it's a great multiplayer game for the ps1, the sense of humour was right in line when I played it at the time.
" Psi-Ops "This x1000. The amount of hilarity you can create with each power in this game alone makes it worth the purchase, not to mention the god-awesome levels.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (only WW2 franchise that's worth it)I own that game as well as the previous two for the PS2.
" There are loads. But I'll pick some that definitely must be experienced:The DarknessBrothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (only WW2 franchise that's worth it)Psychonauts + Beyond Good and Evil "I think both Psychonauts and Beyond Good and Evil were extremely mediocre. If they had sold well, they'd be considered very overrated at this point.

I think both the Sacred games have done reasonably well actually. They're no Diablo, but worth playing if you're into that.
"Psi-OpsProject Snowblind (Maybe biased since I picked this up for $2 new.)"
I had more fun with the other one... what was it called?
Ohh yeah Second Sight. I really enjoyed that one.
Beyond Good & Evil, naturally.
They managed to get a small second wind through acts of desperation.
" Hidden & Dangerous 2.
"
Very true. That game was very fun single player and even more fun when playing online.
Really don't have any to add, but I wanna know what systems all these games are for. Since we're talking about games no one played, is not the purpose of this exercise to get people to play them, and how then can they be played if we know not what systems they're on.
As I'm generally broke, I'm always on the lookout for cheap games, and want to know about the diamonds in the rough, so I've been thinking of doing a thread like this. I've seen the Darkness for cheap and wonder why it's so cheap. It looks decent from the demo. Same with Dark Sector. I wanna check out Sacred 2 someday, heard decent things.
Im going to say Dark Sector, not a Great game but a game many people just looked over. It had a few interesting game mechanics that made it different and fun, yet there are other mechanics that don't work. If you can pick it up cheap suggest playing that game. I got a few others but cant think of em off the top of my head.

Psi-ops was to straight forward for me, where as second sight had some awesome stuff like sneaking, then spotting a guy and just pounding him against the walls with telekinesis.. Why does everything I say sound sexual.

The Darkness
playing it right now again, it's fucking awesome. :D
- Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy - The game itself wasn't fantastic, but the telekinetic powers in that game are still by far the best and more enjoyable this industry has seen. The levels were also designed well to make good use of these powers, which created lots of cool and memorable gaming moments. I think the game really started going a bit downhill towards the end, unfortunately.
- The Darkness - This is one incredible and surprisingly unique game. I have almost nothing but praise for it. Top notch all the way. Some of the most impressive visuals I've ever seen. Great voice acting, stellar art-style, cool story. It's totally superb. I highly recommend this one and wish more people would play it.
- The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay - This was also by Starbreeze, who made The Darkness, and boy was it something. Maybe expectations just weren't too high since it's a game based off of a movie, but not only did it deliver, it raised the bar for it's genre. It brought fresh, bright new ideas to the table, and man was it good! It was stellar in so many ways. I look forward to playing the new remake on 360.
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - I'm sorry to have to add this one to the list, but last I heard it wasn't doing so hot in sales. It's a shame because it's an excellent game and I still praise it as being the Wii's finest. It might not quite be up to the level of the original Metroid Prime, but very few games are. It adds enough new stuff to keep the game fresh and shows off plenty of new and varied places for Samus to explore. The action is solid, the boss fights are excellent. The whole package is worth your time and money.
- Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts - I could be wrong about this one, but from what I can tell, it hasn't performed nearly as good as it should have. A whole lot of people won't bother with it because of the new focus on vehicles, but really, the game is innovative in many ways and really can be quite a great community game where people can share vehicles or even stream best times for missions and learn from each other. The vehicles add a lot to the depth of the game and allow a lot of freedom in how to approach many of the challenges. It's a fun and interesting take on the Banjo franchise.

" the longes jurney and it's sequel dreamfall sold meh.... but both are incredibly well made.they are some of the best adventure games out there but they didn't sell... too bad funcom... too bad... "This is what I came in here to post. The first game is one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had, and Dreamfall, whilst not as good as it's predecessor, was still a great game. I also really enjoyed Syberia from the same genre.
Speaking of adventure games I'm just thinking about playing The Dig or Beneath a Steel Sky at the moment, which one does GiantBomb recommend?

I extremely rare ever meet anyone who has played the Deception series games, especially the first: Tecmo's Deception. Fantastic games.
