Always a man

Always a lighthouse

Always a city

This was my speculation as well.

Alright. Then I guess Alan Wake is too.

I think I'm totally okay with that

So is Elder Scrolls and Mario.

Man, this is going to get way out of hand.

Dishonored is allowed. Assassin's Creed III isn't.

Yeah, there is already at least one thread like this in the Bioshock forum.

Sure is.

Aw shit.

Also, wasn't part of this supposed to be a girl/girls that needed to be rescued? So that cuts out about... a twentieth of them?

A man, a city, and a lighthouse are the only constants.

I don't think Irrational realized the implications of their narrative choices.

It expands even more if you define "light house" as a house with minimal weight. Dollhouses, houses in space, bouncy houses, etc. etc.

I like to think that the Lutece Twins go to the Saints Row universe to chillax with Pierce and the gang.

So I hate to crush people's dreams and all, but I think one of the key points is that the lighthouse is meant to be the starting point for an adventure in the alternate realities. So a lot of the ones being talked about here don't quite fit, including HL. (Although the man (Which wouldn't be gordon, but Dr. Breen), and City 17 do kind of fit).

But it's not really important.

You are right about the lighthouse, but I think Dr. Breen is more like Comstock in this case.

Where did this man-lighthouse-city thing come from? The poster thread? It's pretty silly..

#18 Posted by probablytuna (3683 posts) -

I always thought the man is the guy you're opposing, not the main character.

Uh, it originally came from Bioshock Infinite. It's like the main plot.

So that means G-man is Gordon Freeman right? Man, I hate video games!

Yeah I think it's kind of crucial that the lighthouse is supposed to be a focal point. In Half-Life 2 it's just a place you fight on and then leave

It's a bit unclear if the man part refers to the main character of Bioshock/Booker or to Andrew Ryan/Comstock. I think it referring to Andrew Ryan/Comstock would make more sense, personally.

@def

Find me one thread on this entire website that really needs to exist...

My first thought once I clicked on the concept page as well.
