first id quote "Please remain calm", "Warning: Metropolitan Disaster", "Alerting Emergency Services". Halo, in general, has many biblical references, so another life view isn't so far off for them. Now here I go.

Jees, this strangley reminds me of something. I believe it might have happened around the same time halo 1 came out...
