Currently if you type MW3 faceoff into a google search right now, one of the first results is a video from IGN. Not too odd really until you take a look at the thumbnail for the video. The image is NSFW so I advise against any younger forum goers taking a look.

Edit: I'm aware of how paranoid it is to think IGN did this on purpose, and that it's more likely a prank or some kind of screw up on google's end.

That is hilarious.

The fuck?

#4 Posted by billyhoush (1187 posts) -

Now that's really funny. I would visit IGN if their videos were more true to that thumbnail.

I have seen this happen before, and I have come to believe that it is a Google problem and not a site problem, but that is pretty fucking hilarious

#6 Posted by Zleunamme (609 posts) -

That is only if you type face-off as one word. It's probably spam so don't click on it. Those type image previews end up on the news feeds in facebook.

#7 Edited by WalkerD (461 posts) -

@Zleunamme: It's a direct link to IGN. It actually takes you to the Modern Warfare 3 face-off reveal video if you click on it. Not that uhhh, not that I clicked on it or anything.

#12 Posted by mrfizzy (1464 posts) -

That is amazing. If that is an error in Google that is a rather major error. What if that happened to a website aimed at kids or something?

Also yeah, it links to the correct link (I just checked coz I'm thorough like that, that's the only reason...)

#13 Posted by Godlyawesomeguy (6375 posts) -

Dude, what? That has to be a mistake, right? They wouldn't do that, right?

#14 Posted by PokeIkzai (385 posts) -

This is real. This is something that's actually happened. I... wow. Just wow. Good job, IGN.

#15 Posted by Turambar (6484 posts) -

I'm not seeing a thumbnail.

#16 Posted by Duskwind (141 posts) -

How do you know that's NOT a part of the game? Gotta change things up somehow, right?

#17 Posted by JasonR86 (9375 posts) -

I'm confused whether or not I should flag this. It seems pointless and unnecessarily confrontational of another site.

#18 Posted by me3639 (1607 posts) -

I thought this was going to be about how they basically praised everything Nintendo did this E3.

#19 Posted by JakeLogan (213 posts) -

Holy Eff, I'ma screen Cap-Com'ing this business.

#20 Edited by deathstriker666 (1337 posts) -

On Google it says that video is 36 seconds long when it's actually 4:35 on IGN. That thumbnail doesn't appear anywhere in the video either. It's just 2 Sledgehammer guys talking about new DLC maps for MW3. Totally an error on Google's part. Fucking hilarious

Maybe google just thinks MW3 blows... get it cause... you know, I'm tired give me a break I can't always be funny!

I would make a joke but

This fellow beat me to it, then didn't stick with it. C'mon, duder.

Anyway, yes I did find this amusing.

I'd actually appended the first post with a little comment that I was aware it wasn't actually a marketing tactic by IGN far before anyone started making claims of my retardation. Not sure why I'm the one being called an idiot here.

Don't flag it. It is funny and informative.

What kind of damage does that weapon do in game?

Hope it's not a one shot kill.

What effect does the helmet have on head shots?

Aaaaaaaaaand I'm outta here.

Ironically I was Googling "deepthroat blonde bitch" and a thumbnail for a Brazzers video in the results had Greg Miller on it. Brazzers has sunk to a new low!
