Have you ever been a fan boy of one console. Are you still a fanboy. If not why did you change of stop.
Have you ever been a fanboy
Yes, I was a Nintendo fanboy. Then, one day, while on a forum like this one, something struck me: I had not played my Wii in a LONG time. I then decided to stay the hell away from the console wars for the rest of my gamerdom.
I'm a fan of Sony and the PS3, but no, I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy. The PS3 is a superb system with a bunch of great aspects, but when you look at it the PS3 is ultimately a slightly inferior system to the 360. Yet you know what, playing a 360 and owning a PS3 has shown me that I still prefer a PS3. Again, its not a bad system at all and I will defend it to the death, but I think its the brand loyalty that keeps me coming back even when Sony's always just one small step behind. In that respect, you could call me a fanboy, but I just prefer my PS3. Figure that out!
EDIT: And oh yeah, question marks are your friend man, use 'em.
" MB will be here any second now to lock this thread. I swear hes on a mission to rid GB of all flame baiting. Good on em. "
I don't necessarily see why a topic like this can't be left open and given a chance to turn into something productive with constructive debate and discussion by the community. If people can keep their self control in check we should not have a problem here.
Sega fanboy for a short time until I matured and realized that its the games that make the console, not the console that makes the games.
" im a fanboy, Saga till i die "Who are Saga? I mean, I've heard of Sega...

haha yh i do.
I think Saga are a over 50's insurance company in the UK
I used to be a big, BIG N64 fanboy. True story.
As of now, Im only a game/ franchise fanboy. I prefer it that way.
I used to refuse to play on my friends Sega consoles, but mostly because all they ever played was Sonic and I hated Sonic. I was happy with my SNES and things like Super Aleste and SFII, but I wouldnt say I was a fanboy, I wasnt a huge fan of the nintendo titles like Starwing etc and at the time I would have happily played Cool Spot in place of Zelda, so no I don't think i've ever been a fanboy. I tend to align myself with franchises rather than consoles in a fanboy manner.
" No stopHave been platform agnostic since birth stopWeather is wonderful stop "Can't imagine a better first reply.
I used to be, when I was a stupid kid. Surprise? Developer-wise, Rare 4 lyf.
I was a Nintendo fanboy. I'm a sorta-fanboy of PCs now.

I was a Nintendo fanboy back in the day; I had a tendency to be a little misanthropic and scoffed at the general public (read: kids in school) for dismissing Nintendo games as "kiddy" and the Gamecube as "Gaycube". Now that the Wii has come out and I finally jumped ship to 360, not so much, although I still do still have a soft spot for Nintendo. I still dispute what I feel are exaggerations about Nintendo and the Wii from my friends (like how Xbox avatars and Natal make the Wii obsolete).
Back during the REAL console wars I was a brutal Nintendo fanboy while my buddy was a Sega fanboy.
I'd get the NES, he'd get the Master System. He'd get the Megadrive/Genesis, I'd get teh SNES. I'd read Total!, he'd read Mean Machine.
We'd argue on days on end about it and most of my friends were Nintendo fans while he and the oldest of our crew were Sega fans.
The funny thing is that we all secretely loved playing eachother's machines and would borrow games together at the video store for each system.
All you pansy ass Sony and Microsoft fanboys know nothing about real stupid fanboy arguing.
Wether it be the merits of blast processing against Mode 7
How the Sega CD is awesome, but just you wait, there's a Super Nintendo CD around the corner.
Super FX chip? Screw you, the 32X is coming.
Your stupid Game Boy is only black and white, the Game Gear has colors!
The Neptune? That's just a little Megadrive, the Virtual Boy is the future!
Screw the Super CD, Project Reailty's gonna be even better and the grapgics will be like the liquid metal guy from Terminator 2!
You got STreet Fighter 2? Well WE go Street Fighter 2: Championship Editio.
Our Mortal Kombat has blood in it!
Oh man, those were the days. Fanboys nowadays are bigger idiots cause they have the internet at their disposal to actually enlighten themselves.
Back in the day all we had were ultra biased magazines (A few multiplat magazines like GamePro, CVG, EGM and GamesMaster) and hearsay and conjecture.
What did we know?

aint that the truth
I used to be a fanboy until I was burned too many times.
I've been a Nintendo fanboy (first), then Sony, then Sega, PC fanboy from time to time too.
For 10 years or so it's mostly out of my system. I was young, I didn't always have the money to even experience all the platforms. Now I know what it's all about, I've been burned by everyone but I've enjoyed everyone's games.
No. I probably have said something biased when comparing games, but when I had an N64, I always liked to visit my friend who had a PS1 to play crash bandicoot and twisted metal. I was never a fanboy, because if you're a fanboy you make other game consoles your enemy and you miss out on all the great stuff!
I was a bitter Sega die-hard that despised the ever-living hell out of Sony for "destroying the industry" (but was totally cool with Nintendo because I had an N64 and a GameCube) until early into PS2's life. Then I stopped being fourteen and decided that I want to play games, not system warz.
use to be a nintendo fanboy, even through the gamecube. not anymore though
Im more of a franchise fanboy than a concel fanboy now
I'm a fanboy with some TV shows, manga, anime and movies. Never really been like that when it comes to video games though.
