If any of you guys feel like giving CBS an idea as to how our audience is made up of dashingly handsome rich people who spend a million dollars on games every month, here's a survey that you can take! There's some mention of a prize at the end, but I'm not entirely sure what that consists of. At any rate, if you feel like filling out an audience survey, I'm sure we'd appreciate it.
Hey, here's a CBS audience survey!
@darji: So they know what kind of ads to throw at you.
@abendlaender: It's a lamp shaped like a leg.
That was really oong and why do they want to know if have have eaten at a fastfood restaurant in the last month? XD
They want to know if you're rich or poor. Rich people don't eat at fast food places or drink energy drinks.
Also Rorie, I was super pumped to be able to put that I finally had a college diploma.
@mb: Great, than I would have a pair!
Oh Christ that was a slog... fuck sakes @rorie

Yeah that was hella long, wasn't it. If it makes you feel any better, I went through the whole thing myself before I posted it.
I feel like the whole "agree or disagree" page might be missing what makes Giantbomb special and separates it from everyone else. OK, yeah, you guys have news and everything, but playing through the entirety of a niche JRPG and playing Dark Souls and Windjammers isn't exactly breaking news, but those are the reasons I spend hours here and not on Gamespot watching the umpteenth fucking trailer and bland video game review. I don't care about nor need that stuff, I know my tastes and can seek out news on what's happening around the gaming world elsewhere.
It's just something that raised my eyebrow a little, that's all. Probably nothing to worry about. Probably.

What is wrong with you? Windjammers is alwaysimportant and relevant news.

Ads.
But I live in Germany. I don't think that I will ever see an ad of the "Currywurst Bude" i visit from time to time XD
But yeah If I get adds now from CBS on my mail account I will totally sue them since I never agreed to that :P
I love prizes, but I haven't had snacks or energy drinks in the past month. I think I failed guys...
@rorie: I know this survey was probably put together by some external company, or at the very least, not you personally. But man, I wish these surveys would include more up to date genre options:
Sure, it's an exaggeration to say they're entirely dead, but I'm amazed RTS and Fighting games are even on this list, when in 2013 they're both pretty niche genres. Like, RTS is just Starcraft II and then a few others like Company of Heroes and Dawn of War that are decent games but certainly not the RTS dynasties of the 90s. And while streaming has made fighting games more visible than ever, anecdotally I know very few people in this day and age who play them seriously or even at all. If anything, I'm playing turn-based strategy (Fire Emblem, Civilization, XCOM) far more than I'm playing RTS these days.
How is free-to-play one genre? People play League of Legends and Hearthstone and Killer Instinct for very different reasons, I would imagine. How is that even useful data?
I've put 200 hours into FTL, and almost as much into the Binding of Isaac (less into Spelunky, but it hasn't been on PC for as long). I can't even begin to figure out what genre to put them into. Hotline Miami? Kentucky Route Zero? Mark of the Ninja?
Also, "Other (please specify)" on that particular question doesn't have a text box to type in, which seems like an oversight.
And man, this question:
It's fun to read it in Jeff's "I. am. being. overly. formal. How. are. you? Would. you. like. a. carbonated. beverage?" awkward businessman voice, but wow, could that question be any more transparent?
