I am sure when Jeff is riding around in his 50K suped up Dodge Challenger, you will feel good about what you did to help the site.
Of course i will, who gives a shit what Jeff spends his money on? Also: people saying 'i'll buy it for 10/20' just.. don't.
I don't get these complaints...
1: They worked their asses off creating this - working more hours than most of us - why are they not allowed to get something out of all this?
2: Giantbomb is about the most un-biased gaming site I have been on, and if that alone is not worth something to you - well by all means go over to Gamespot and IGN.
3: I got zero commercials on my screen when I visit GB (and all the other rad WM sites) - and that alone is worth the measly 35$ to me.
What you guys need to understand is that this is business. Plain and simple. Do they put out stuff that is worth 50 bucks a year or 35 now? No, not to me. And a lot of other people feel the same way. I have bills to pay. And living with sit n sleep ad at the top of the site and not seeing some weird PC game is ok with me. Point is that "Support the Site!" sounds like a fund raising thing. Sure they deserve to get something for what they worked hard on, but if they don't put something out there that is worth what I think is my money, isn't that my choice? Telling me to go to another site is stupid and a moot argument. We are here because we like it but if were are willing to pay for it is a different argument. And guess what, I am here because this is one of the most biased sites on the web. Listen to the bombcast. Quicklooks. It is about personal preference. If this site were unbiased it might be a little more professional and you wouldn't see people like Alex pissing off half the audience of this site. And again, not seeing ads is not worth 35 bucks to me. In fact, I doubt I would put my credit card info in if it were just a dollar. I could buy a bag of chips and that bag of chips is worth more to me than not seeing ads on this site for a year. Why? Because that is the way business works. However, there are those who would pay and I won't bash them. Just please, no more of the "Support the site". Just cause I like these guys doesn't mean I will give them money. They obviously give you something you are willing to pay for and that is great. Business again.
Holy shit I missed this sale by day!? This sort of thing has happend to me twice this week! Ass-Creed:Revelations went on sale for $40 the day after I bought it at full price. I'm still happy with what I bought, but it would have been nice to save a little bit of $$$.
I bought it.
Worth it for the most recent Random PC Game.
And the Jars are pretty good too.
No regrets.

What about the people who purchased a membership last week when it was still $50? I'm assuming we're just "crap out of luck"?
Those purchasing a membership through this sale don't receive a t-shirt coupon.
Thanks for the polite answer, that seems fair to me. I'll take the $15 coupon.

Welcome to the world. Things go on sale after you buy them. Things go on sale before you buy them. Things generally go on sale.
Take a note from the guy above, be polite with your answer. There was absolutely no need for your comment.
are you 12

I am, why?
Thanks for the sale. I finally took the plunge and even posted it to a few of my gamer pals. The quicklooks are pretty invaluable in making clear if we should spring for any given game. Plus, I'm going to be in a internet free environment for xmas, so being able to carry along a few of the Random PC Game vids will help ease the pain.
Seeing Brad in a wizard outfit was enough to convince me to add time to my current subscription.
Premium Annual Member through June 10, 2013
Isn't this the kind of thing that always pisses off Nintendo fans? I mean, are you going to credit the difference back to everyone who already bought the membership? C'mon early adopters, Occupy Front Street!
Bought mine, Thank You for the content guys I've enjoyed it since the beginning and I think it's about time I show my support
i JUST upgraded to premium a little over a week ago...

"B-B-But Alex was mean to us when we told him he's an annoying asshole that should be fired. D':"
Jeff or Ryan would also tell you that nobody at WM gives a shit that people complain about Alex or Kessler or anybody else. Why should they? It's their site, they can run it how they want. Also, "half the audience" is a maaaaajor exaggeration. A vocal minority, maybe.
And I do feel good about supporting what I consider the best gaming site out there, thanks. If Jeff wants to spend that money on a nice car or $200 Star Trek online subscriptions, who cares? I'm supporting everyone that works there, not just Jeff.
To use your own smug, condescending line... What you don't seem to get is this is a business. And this is the business model they've chosen. Just because you disagree with it doesn't make it bad business.
Oh, and Support The Site™.
I am so happy to finally be able to afford upgrading to a Premium account and support you this year. I love the work you all are doing here, and I hope 2012 will be the best year for Giant Bomb yet! :)
Merry Christmas and God bless the Giant Bomb crew!
I got stuck working on Christmas today and used the sale as an excuse to get a present for myself! Thanks for the deal!
