Just saw this over at Kotaku...
Logitech today took the wraps off of three new PC gaming peripherals: A colour LCD-toting keyboard, a 5000-dpi mouse and a 7.1-channel surround sound headset.
Dont you just wanna eat it all up!
Holy fuck!
"If its headphones, whats the point of 7.1 surround sound?"So it appears to your ears that you have multiple speakers in front of and behind you. A good set of headphones can do this quite well, and will kind of spoil you to "normal" stereo sound once you experience it.
Im in the market for a new keyboard! shame ive just bought headphones and a mouse. but man they all look sweet.
Some headphones actually have separate drivers, but I think the Dolby-specced ones process the separate inputs into 2 drivers to sound like they're in the different positions.
Why does it all look like it came out of an '80s sci-fi movie? = /
The mouse looks uncomfortable as hell compared to something like the DeathAdder or the Lachesis, which I'm highly satisfied with the DeathAdder so far in terms of performance and feel. The keyboard looks like a bit much. The headset looks pretty damn sweet, though...and 7.1 is ALWAYS appealing. = D
