How many of you immediately switched to black theme

Didnt notice it till just now, but with the top banner (and video) being always black, the white theme just feels like a added feature for people the hate reading white letters on black backgrounds. The black theme just fits the hole site design alot more and is just GB. Dont know why they made the white standard though ...... (not sure if this is even right but for me I thought it was) feels like black should be standard.

Yup, the white was hurting my eyes.

I like the white one but I love black more.

I did. It's not that I don't like white, but I have problems with reading black on white due to a shitty primary school and that's really tough on the Internet, since here black and white are never washed out.

The black background should be default.

But the red for the names is pissing me off

The white was too bright. It gave me a headache, so I immediately switched to black and it's like coming home again. Black is the best.

Black History Month: MLK, Lincoln, Emancipation Proclamation, Civil Rights Movement, and Black Theme Giantbomb.

I changed the second I could enter in Giant Bomb. And that was during those "oh, it's up for like 2 seconds and now it's dead again" moments.

I did, that white theme is AWFUL. I mean, it's just pure white with black text. It's ugly, and the top bar doesn't change to match it, so it looks disjointed.

I switched to black the instant I saw the white background, too much white it was unbearable.

The problem with the black theme is that if you're looking at walls of text it ENGRAVES itself into your eyes.

It's 4am here right now, and I can honestly say that the white is better on my eyes. The red text on the black version is too bright.

As soon as I saw the button to change, the white burns!

I panicked for a brief period when the site was white then saw that button and all was right with the world. Was tempted by third option because colour was spelled correctly

For some reason, the black button is not working for me which is a HUGE bummer.

I got used to the old black theme, so I really prefer the site in black.

Found the white background fine on the PC, but with my IPad I switched to the black background. I think it's to do with the brightness settings more than anything. I can understand how it could burn the eyes though. Especially those who have just woken up! (Uk time :) )

I used to use black, but not anymore. I like the white theme better and weirdly enough I find it easier to use and read. I'm guessing things will be bad once I try using it while tired but until that time I'm sticking with the white theme.

It's tragic that they made white the default. Imagine all these new people being assaulted by this despicable thing on their fist visit !

I'm bummed that I have to start letting my browser save cookies for more than my current session for this reason.

Basically this. Yeah, it's just easier on my eyes and what I'm used to. Black/Red has been the Giant Bomb aesthetic since the beta days of olde.

I don't hate the white version, but the black is just so much more relaxing to look at.

The black always hurt my eyes (same thing happens on the [adultswim] message boards), so I'm glad to finally have the option of going black on white rather than white on black. Unless that option was there before and I just missed in, in which case I'm dumb and I guess it should default to black for historical purposes or something.

I have nothing against the white site but I just like black better.

I can't look at an all-black screen for too long without my eyes going all screwy. If the white is too bright, then lower your screen brightness.

First click I made was to change the color theme back to the good old black/gray. I think I did the same thing with the beta, but I can't remember.

The white version of this theme is down right UGLY. I switched straight back to black.

I noticed right away that something was off. Turning it back black was prob my 3th click on the new site.

I use a dark theme for every site if possible, even the mobile GameFAQs site which looks atrocious black; but I've got to save my eyes!

It's a shame most new people probably won't realize you can do that.

The white looks terrible. If that was the only option I would barely ever come to these forums. Relearning how it works is already shock enough.
