Since we all know the Community Rating Tool (has been disabled as of January 2009) I thought it would be good to temporarily put this up while the official faq/rules thing is being worked on. (Yes, it's still being worked on...slowly but surely).
The best way to find out which moderators are online is to click on the Who's Online button in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
It'll bring up a list of all the users who are currently online. Only Staff and Forum Moderators will have their respective tags under their names in this list...Wiki mods will not have their tags show up here.
From this screen, you can click on a moderator's name and send them a PM.
Alternatively, you can also take the time to send all of the forum moderators a group PM, that way when you need something, you can simply go back to that master moderator PM and add a reply. That way, all of the moderators will eventually see it, and you are guaranteed to get the fastest response that way. Here is the list of current & active forum moderators:
MB
CitizenKane
BoG
suneku
Hamz
TheBeast
Kush
Hope this helps. . (Community Rating Tool has been disabled - MB) So, until a more permanent solution is worked out, this is how to get in touch with us.

How to Contact a Moderator
Yay, I'm getting repped in the guide, and right next to the Mod. Now that's what I call some prime real-estate.
Does the "Now Online" list give priority to mods? Like put them on the top of the list or something. If not, it should.
"Yeah that's right I'm on that list! We should only use this if it's like porn, or VERY CLEARLY breaking the ToS right? Because I don't know if yall would like getting PMs every time someone THINKS it's breaking the TOS but they're not completely 100% sure."If you see something on the forums and think you should let a moderator know about it, chances are you should just follow your gut feeling and go ahead and do it. If something isn't a problem, we'll let you know. It's no big deal, we are here to deal with the little sorts of issues that pop up on a day to day basis.

"You guys really need a couple more mods."I think we're doing fine with the current level of staffing. One thing we constantly struggle with is walking that fine line between making sure things stay cool while also not being too overbearing. We could double the amount of moderators that we have right now, and there would probably still be significant blocks of time when none of us are online. The bottom line is that we're all volunteers and have our own careers, educations, and social lives to deal with. Trust me...you do not want way too many moderators.
I've got a question about the whole wiki/forum moderator thing - why aren't all mods forum mods? I mean, you can still have you guys specialising in forum moderation, and making the decisions that might be dificult to make, but i seems logical to give the wiki mods forum mod powers for emergencies, like if someone goes completely crazy posting thread after thread of porn, and no forum mod is online. Or somone posts a really offensive thread that's extremely racist or something. It just seems logical.
I contact TheBeast for submission questions and the rest for forums
Don't be fooled by imitators, on the bottom row, even though it's a kitty, there's someone either called The_Beast or DonkeyThe _Beast, neither are TheBeast
Who do I contact to get my IP's unbanned? My account isn't banned obviously, but now every IP I use for this account is banned (so it's kind of worse than my account being banned, because when I click the "Sign Up" button it says "Dude - you are banned.") It makes no sense at all.
Can't use a proxy at work, won't use one on a regular basis at home. Too fucking slow.
I went down a blaze of Alexander, I guess. It wasn't worth it.
So, does this mean you are working on a "report post" feature, or not? I really think this forum could use one.
I am totally 4th on the "who's online" list.
It's good to know that you guys hopefully won't have to worry as much about people abusing the community rating tool and calling you to random threads that don't require moderation.
"Shawn said:Mind and body aswell?"What about AmericanPegasus?"I'm always with you in spirit."
But yes please do send us a PM regarding anything you feel needs our attention or if you just have a problem or issue you need to let us know about. We're here to help, its our job, so please don't hesitate in contacting us!
I think this small staff is working out great.
