Hypothetically if they made Bulletstorm 2...

...with Duke Nukem as one of the playable chracters would that be all they needed to do to that character to make him more acceptable again to the current gaming audience?

I mean DNF nasty after taste aside if they reworked that character to fit into the story of Bulletstorm so he was more mouthy and more comical in the same way either Grayson Hunt or General Sarrano were do you think that this is what Duke Nukem needs or would Gearbox have to carve there own re working of Duke to make him accesible to gamers and critics alike?

lolz that would be pretty funny if they amped it up in trailers like they do for big cameos in films and then the actors on the screen for 2mins before they leave or are killed off.

Bulletstorm 2 will probably have a Duke reference a la Duke's Halo quip... but that's it. I don't want Duke near that game.

Bulletstorm is way funnier than Duke, he should be left in his crap ass game

If Gearbox actually develops the next Duke game from the get go after they finish Borderlands 2 I'd have hope that it would be a good game.

Duke might fit as an asshole boss in bulletstorm 2 but i would only accept it if i was able to kick him into a live shark's mouth or something.

Duke needs to be a joke to be taken seriously again. 
By that I mean he needs to retain his attitude and arrogance, while the rest of his world/universe laughs at him. He should be the only guy in the room that doesn't get the joke made at his expense.  There shouldn't be kids asking for his autographs or chicks giving him hummers. He should not be idolized in his world, he should think he should be idolized while being mocked.
