As of right now, I have a dilemma. I am currently stuck between three choices:

  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood
  • or getting both Mass Effect games.
I want New Vegas because I love the Fallout series, I want Brotherhood because most of my Xbox Live friends have it, and I've always wanted to try the Mass Effect games. Any suggestions?

Mass Effect 1 and 2 should be very cheap right now, ME1 should be around 10 and some stores here offer ME2 for 20-25 bucks, so those would be the cheap options (and the best in my opinion).

I have not played AC:Brotherhood and only played Fallout:NV for a little bit, but if you can get those for 30-40 bucks I'd say that's worth it.
ME1+2 is the way to go if you want to spend a lot of time in that universe, its an amazing ride!

Ass Creed Brotherhood is really awesome, If you're onto the Assassin's universe, and want some really awesome multiplayer, definitely go for that.

I agree with Talicia.

Like she said, all of those are great options, but the ME pack does give the most mileage for your buck.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 is the better buy. New Vegas is just more Fallout. That isn't a bad thing by any standard, but this Fallout isn't as polished as the one before it. Brotherhood is worth a rental, but I don't think it has enough replay value to be worth buying. Not brand new, at least. Multiplayer is cool, but I don't know how long its appeal would last for you. I enjoyed it for the one night that I played it, but didn't feel an urge to play more the next day.

Both Mass Effect games have a lot of replay value and events unfold differently depending on all the choices you make throughout. Being a dick in the first game can give you more opportunities to be a dick in the second. Which is totally the best way to play it, in my opinion. You will also want to have a save file ready to load for when ME3 comes out. Because the idea of having a character and all his decisions carry over across 3 games is so epic and awesome, how could you not want to do it?

If your friends are playing it all the time and will keep doing so for several months then get Brotherhood. If not then just get the Mass Effect games and enjoy some alone time with a great series. If you were talking about PC I would suggest NV, but the console version is garbage so see previous statement.

I haven't played any of those, but based on what I've heard I would pick Darksiders.

@Deathshroud:  I got Darksiders in April for 20 quid (I was just in London for the week, I'm not from England), so you should be able to get that pretty cheap. I haven't played much of it, but I like what I played.

@hoseph1337: I'd get the Mass Effect games and wait for the others to drop in price.

@Deathshroud: Both Darksiders and Eternal Sonata are good, I'd pick up whichever you're more in the mood for - a BEAUTIFUL jRPG or Zelda with a twist of God of War (haven't played Castlevania yet).

I think I'll get the Mass Effect games, because as it has been said above, Fallout: NV is just more Fallout (definitely not a bad thing by any means) while my friends who have Brotherhood tend to play a game 24/7 for a few months then never come back to it again.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not a big fan of the ME series, so I can't recommend them to you. I did, however, love Fallout: New Vegas and if you like the Fallout games (especially the old school ones) then you'll probably get a lot of fun out of NV.

Both ME games are amazing and are below $20 so i'd say go with that. However, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood is amazing and has great multiplayer i haven't had trouble getting in a game yet so it's still very active.
