I have a proposal

So, every so often we see a fanboy thread pop up. No big deal, we can all just ignore them and they'll go away. Many other sites have infestations of fanboys, all calling each other out for their fanboyism whilst failing to recognise their own. What I suggest is, that rather than allying yourself with a particular system, the majority of users call themselves Fanboys of Gaming; FaGs for short. We FaGs are those who try to stand up for our medium when it's being looked down on, when a group condemns a game for some reason, whatever platform it may be on. We'll all agree that even if there is only one game we enjoy on a certain console, we'll enjoy it no matter what colour of box it slides into. Yes, we may have preferences, but arguments aren't necessary.

So, if we can all coexist as FaGs, we can work together to try and make the internet a better place for everyone who plays games.

I think the idea of having everyone be fanboys or gaming and gaming culture is an awesome idea but it would never work really. In our hearts we are all fans of video games that much we can all agree on. But in our minds we all have a loyalty to a patricular platform of gaming, devleoper, publisher, game, franchies etc etc etc and our inner trolls just lash out uncontrolled at anyone who disagrees with us. Its something that will never stop, not while we have so many gaming platforms.
