So yeah, title says it all. I'm super bored and want to try a free MMO or at least a persistent game. I thought about DOFUS for an RPG, and Gunz as an alternative. I know Dofus is pretty active, but don't really know about Gunz. Anyway yeah, recommend a persistent game which is free and has got an active community until All Points Bulletin comes out because I can't wait for that game and it seems like it's never coming out.
I need a free MMO... or at least a free persistent game.
Nobody in the WORLD knows of this game. It's a secret gem.Hidden.It is called Face Of Mankind.Just play it.You'll see.
Runescape imho
I don't play it myself but I hear it's the one if you're looking for a good FTP MMO, my brother used to play it when he had the time says it was fun.

" i recently downloaded the Allods Online open beta, and im enjoying it. Its a huge WOW clone, which made it easy to get into. "How does it compare to the previous titles like Allods 1, 2 and Evil Islands (aka Allods 3D)?
" i recently downloaded the Allods Online open beta, and im enjoying it. Its a huge WOW clone, which made it easy to get into. "it gets better when you try the ship vs ship combat.
" Nobody in the WORLD knows of this game. It's a secret gem.Hidden.It is called Face Of Mankind.Just play it.You'll see. "I think it's gonna be this one. Reminds me of Planetside which I never actually played because I heard it wasn't very good but I liked the concept.
Wait for the Torchlight MMO from Cryptic Games, play Battlefield Heroes, or Quake Live.
Edit: I meant Runic Games.
SilkRoad Online is free, it's alright, but it's hard as hell to log in to and its extremely grindy. There's a ton of free MMOs at aeriagames.com. Personally though, I would say Runescape if you want a free MMO. You can also play Warhammer Online up to level 10 for as long as you want for free now.
Try DDO, it's free now.
" i recently downloaded the Allods Online open beta, and im enjoying it. Its a huge WOW clone, which made it easy to get into. "I've been playing tons of Allods. Excellent game, much worth the price ($0).
I heard Runes of Magic is good... I tried to download it but it took way too long, and I downloaded Aion (which requires more space) pretty fast.
"shin megami tensei: imagine AKA Megaten i downloaded it, i started to play it less and less, then i just uninstalled it cuz i never played after the first few days (but im not blaming the mmo, my motivation to play a game that long goes really quickly, but thats my problem) "
I'd say this, but the UI is so god-damn archaic (see: Everquest's inane original menu system) and te movement is so slow, that it gets real boring, real fast.
Though, it's got that MegaTen style to it that made it hard to put down...until I realised the ass-ness of the game.
Oh, and D&D Online is pretty good, and the combat is at least somewhat more enjoyable for an MMORPG.
