Xfinity better watch out. If Ryan starts calling Vinny "Sookeh" i'll have no need for premium cable.

I cancelled my cable subscription years ago. You should do it too!

#3 Posted by RandomInternetUser (6779 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I know I do.  I haven't watched TV since The Walking Dead season 1 ended, other than for a few minutes here or there when the internet isn't working or something.

I know I watch more Giant Bomb than cable.

I know I do, I watch TV less than once a month. I only use my TV as secondary monitor for the computer and for my 360.

GiantBomb Reality TV Series.

Check this out. All in one "house", Jersey Shore but with the GB crew playing videogames 24.... SEVEN!! All the best bits condensed into an hour episode every day.

Plus you get live streaming on JTV.

I haven't had cable in over 20+ years.  No need to have it really :/.

I was/am able to watch via rabbit ears (soon to be digital).  I usually just catch the news and various shows that interest me.  I do/did miss out on some great shows on Discovery and Spike, but that's ok, nowadays you can watch them streamed through their channels' websites.

I don't watch TV

#9 Posted by PrivateIronTFU (3874 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

The only thing I've been watching on TV lately are On Demand episodes of Breaking Bad.

Of course, at least those work properly. I still can't watch HD videos on this site properly without them fucking up.

My cable only really gets used for sports. If you take that out, then I easily spend way more time on Giant Bomb than cable. I may get more hours of enjoyment from Giant Bomb than I do actual video games. Subscription justified!

#12 Posted by IBurningStar (2003 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I watch maybe three hours of TV a week. I watch stuff on GB for at least twice as long as that.

Yeah, sports would probably be my only justification for getting a cable subscription, seeing as far as I know, they don't really stream those or have them archived up on the net, at least not yet.  I know where I live, CBC has some hockey shows streamed/archived, but I would like to watch some NBA games as well.

So... Giantbomb TV Channel coming soon?

#15 Posted by Moth_Pope (424 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Same here. It's very rare that I watch TV these days, yet I watch all Giant Bomb stuff.

I don't even watch any TV besides Jeopardy, which isn't even cable so... and Glee when it comes back on but that's still only one show

#23 Posted by Irvandus (2276 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Netflix and GB what else do you need?

#24 Posted by Ragdrazi (2283 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Cable TV's all like "hey man, can I borrow some milk to put on my cereal..." Giant Bomb's like a mighty stallion riding on the back of a giant eagle. And we're riding that mighty stallion. We're all riding that mighty stallion.

#26 Posted by Pyrgz (255 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

@Rufi91: do you watch tv shows, though?

#27 Posted by rmanthorp (3350 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

@Pyrgz: Hmm... not really if I get bored I might check in on Doctor Who of The Office but I never go out of my way and it's always done online.

I don't even watch TV anymore.

Another cord cutter here. I know I watch Giant Bomb through my Roku more than I do cable TV.

I'm addicted to the Quick Looks, even going so far as to track down the ones that come up when you Google for "funniest Giant Bomb Quick Looks".

I only ever watch TV if I'm staying with my family, otherwise the internet provides me all the video entertainment I need.

0h a year compared to 3-6 a day... Giantbomb wins hands down. Don't really see a need for cable, commercials piss me off and 99% of the time there is nothing worthwhile to watch.

#33 Posted by Seedofpower (3742 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

My tv is in another room, and I never go into that room. So I know I watch more GB than I do cable.

#34 Posted by JayDee (390 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

#35 Posted by SeanFoster (662 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I definitely do.

#36 Posted by Apparatus_Unearth (2742 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

#37 Posted by Skald (4366 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I barely watches tv anymore. I just use it for games, movies and tv shows that I bought on dvd or blu-ray so I can watch them when I want.

#42 Posted by laserbolts (5125 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago
I definitely do. I watch maybe 2 hours of tv a week and I'd say about five hours of giantbomb goodness.
#43 Posted by AjayRaz (12250 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

i don't really watch tv that much to begin with. only when i'm waiting for something to load/install on the PS3/360 or i just happen to be eating there.

#44 Posted by Sayishere (1823 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Same, i hardly watch TV...i only watch a select few shows that are on Freeview anyway that i record. Internet is literally amazing for entertainment now.

#45 Posted by Hizang (8536 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

#46 Posted by blueaniman93 (595 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I haven't watched my cable since I got Netflix.

#47 Posted by natetodamax (18927 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I haven't watched cable TV in years.

#48 Posted by The_Hiro_Abides (1167 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I canceled cable years ago and I'm never looking back!

Seriously though, Giantbomb, Netflix, and Hulu supplement everything cable ever offered me.
