Need a lot more than that.  You need to know your motherboard in order to see what kind of cards you can even get.

I think you might want to provide some more information. Maybe some of your specs like, RAM, processor speed, current video card etc.

I hear VGA cards are all the rage these days.  Oh come on, it was funny in Space Quest 2 or 3.

No, seriously, get us some more information, especially about your motherboard, but it would be good to know as much information as possible to help you out.

  • START > RUN > type "DXDIAG"
  • Click Save All Information
  • Browse to your desktop and save the Dxdiag.txt file there.
  • Go to your desktop and double click the Dxdiag.txt file, it will open in Notepad
  • Highlight everything from the top of System Information to the third line under Display Devices
  • Copy that and paste it here using the Insert dropdown select ascii, paste you DxDiag.txt copied text there

 OR

Get CPU Z - CPUID

Run it and take a pic of each of the tabs with CTRL+PRINTSCREEN.  Paste them together in one pic and link us to that using something like photobucket or imageshack

You have to know these thinigs for sure, like are you running agp, pci-express, ddr 1 or ddr 2 ram, how many cores, what speed, ect. We ask to know your mobo because you might need a new psu, also more cores if you only have a single core, a new mobo, ect. If you just buy a videocard, you might not have enough power, second it might bottleneck your videocard's framerates.

@HitmanAgent47: what's bottlenecking? i always hear about it.

u need to figure out the information about ur motherboard. u can buy a nice card then find out that the motherboard doesn't support it. the power supply might not hold enough for everything. u might also need to upgrade ur RAM also.

Here's an easy solution: don't be a PC gamer. Way too much hassle.

Bottlenecking occurs when the insufficient power/performance of one piece of hardware prevents another piece of hardware from performing to its full potential.

You're pretty much going to need a whole new PC to be able to play any modern games, and I'm not sure if that's worth the cost to you. A graphics card wouldn't do you any good with the rest of those specs.

Yep sorry to say that unless your goal is to play Starcraft you'll have problems.  The lack of Ram will likely be a problem just web browsing flash heavy sites.

Sorry to say, but you need to buy a whole new system.  Unless someone can help you, you don't seem to have the know-how to build one piecemeal (no insult intended).
