Just another random question I thought of, honestly, I think I would be bored out of my mind without them, but at the same time, I think I would be less socially awkward too.

I would probably be more productive and would have had straight A's, and people would probably be still reading books, or even just watching television or listen to the radio even more, and most importantly people would go hang out with friends more often than usual, so thats what i think would have happened without video games, but i'm pretty glad at the moment i have mine.

I hate hypotheticals...

If video games never existed, I think I would have been a completely different person than I am now.  More extroverted and actually have friends.  That thought scares me.

Yeah, I think you're right.

What little social contact I get would drop to zero. I would effectively hermitize.

Or, with my new found free time, I'd make them myself.

Yeah, I was just going to say, blood thirsty, racist children would also never exist, nor would the concept of school massacres.

I was going to respond to you with more nonsense, but I'm kinda tired, so I'll just be honest, that was my horrible attempt at sarcasm.

Oh really? I thought that video games where the inventors of violence, going back all the way to the Neanderthals.

Introverts would probably just watch more television/anime/manga instead, and casual gamers would probably just do something less fun as well.

So I'd say everyone would be worse off.  If you're going to be unproductive, might as well have tons of fun in the process right!?!?

Sarcasm is easy to spot online if you are overdoing it. Something you kinda get due to tone of voice in real life.
Random people online giving me one line that doesn't seem over the top isn't what i would call sarcasm if they don't let me know that's what they're trying to go for.
#34 Posted by Osaladin (2517 posts) -
@destruktive: I thought the context of that one line would be enough for anyone to get, but to each his own.
#35 Posted by DXmagma (317 posts) -

i would have become a movie nerd instead.
