IGN and GB

  
What in the world is going on? Has anyone noticed how IGN and GB are taking potshots at each other? Some of them are more direct than others, damn. Is there some beef between them? 
 
My favorite was IGN saying our podcast:free over the image.

All non-IGN/gamespot ppl tend to knock the two sites with the most traffic - especially them being owned by corporate monsters - but I have not noticed anything specific from either side.

I've heard the ladies on IGN's Girlfight take shots at Jeff before, but I don't recall the GB guys reciprocating.

I know the episode of Gamescoop you're talking about. It actually said something along the lines of  "Flights to Tokyo: $$$$, this podcast: free", meaning that their podcast was a free way to get information from TGS. It had nothing to do with the bombcast.

I don't recall verbatim.  I think they were answering a question about being women in the industry and if they get respect from their male counterparts and they said yes for the most part but then someone mentioned Jeff, which garnered an "Ugh" from some of the others, could have been Chobot.  IIRC Jeff has made some comments in the past about her and the PSP licking thing and how she got the job at IGN, etc.  This was probably a couple months ago. "

Strange, I only recall hearing IGN and 1UP people saying good stuff about Giant Bomb on a couple of podcasts.

I approve of the extreme paranoia in this thread. Really though I don't follow IGN but I follow Giant Bomb intently and don't remember them taking shots at IGN and find it hard to believe that they'd do something that unprofessional.
