That must mean there is nudeity?''The video you have requested is not available''
Goddamnit, Kessler.
Metagame is the intern's GOTY.
Edit: I get the feeling that these guys haven't seen the Cumming Skittles parody comercial from earlier this year.
I just got out of a 40+ minute Endurance Run episode, so can somebody tell me if El Shaddai gets any love in there?
Yeah, every intern on Giant Bomb start off poorly, and every one of them have grown quite a bit by the end, except for these two new interns, whose names I can't even recall right now. It's still good to see Matt and Steve at Giant Bomb, but I hope Ethan finds better ones next time.@Abyssfull said:

I read this as "Intern of the Year Video Deliberations" and now I'm disappointed.
Ugh. No, you don't need to talk about the merits of Duke Nukem Forever and Driver: San Fransisco and every other game that came out this year, we already know what you're going to pick. It's the thing that everyone else picked.

I think you need to realize that you were the only person on Earth who played El Shaddai. ; )
I found this a lot funnier than I should have done...
@EuanDewar: Yeah, I'll be a bit chatty in these first few. Sorry for that-- had just received some very good news, so I was all in excite-o-mode. Feel free to dub in your favorite monologue and/or movie soundtrack over my voice.
Haha, that first guy to talk looks like a prepubescent Ryan Davis. Not as sexy and more virgin. I guess this is why is it is the intern round table, so the opinions don't matter.
aaaawwww acting like grown ups do. Very cute!
Hey guys, Jeff barely played a bunch of the games on the GOTY podcasts but he still voiced his opinion about them. You guys can do the same...

That makes at least two since I played it.
Good start so far. Although I wish you guys could go into deeper detail on why games are being discarded-the games are unsuitable but why? One of you guys should be a devil's advocate. Hopefully future episodes have more detailed arguments. I'll be watching and again, good start.

Nope, that makes one since VideoGameKing said that he isn't on Earth. : (

Well then I will gladly take the title of Earth's Sole El Shaddai Player.
uugghhh, sorry, but I can't stand when people try to knock a game because it's "frustrating". Like, oh no, lets not think about the possibility that you are not good at the game, the developers obviously decided to make one part stupidly difficult so that you would have to play it 10 times over so it would break the immersion, purposefully.

Games can be frustrating in different ways. They can be frustrating difficult or they can be frustrating broken. Like many kinect games and lots of iOS games. How many times do people wave their hand or swipe the screen expecting an action to happen as a result but the game not recognize it resulting in it doing nothing? Or like in NHL11. I push the stick in the direction I want to pass and hit the pass button. Sometimes it goes to the intended target. Sometimes it goes to a guy who is covered instead of the open player near him. It's frustrating because it isn't acting in the way I was expecting and is inconsistent with previous actions.

Yes, exactly what I mean. What you described is definitely "frustrating", because the game isn't 'working'. However, I don't think it's right to say a game is frustrating because the player is trying to rush through thinking it's going to be a breeze, which leads to them getting their ass kicked, when they need to stop, assess the situation, and figure out what to do. Games are puzzles, even shooters. Combat scenarios are designed so that you plan your attack, and figure out who to shoot, what cover to take, etc.
Then again, if you're dying over and over, that shouldn't be frustrating, because that's how videogames should be. I don't want to go through an 8 hour, hand-holding game. I want to make mistakes, and try again using what I learned. Now, if you are having to play a part over and over, and you begin to think that it's "frustrating", then you are obviously not learning from your previous mistakes, which shouldn't be considered the game's fault, unless it's just something impossible to figure out without a clue that the game doesn't provide.
