On I love Mondays this week Brad got an invite from "Pat Sajak" to be on the show. I couldn't tell if it was Spam or a legit email.

#2 Posted by Jonny_Anonymous (1186 posts) -

Maybe after he leaves Giant Bomb

#3 Posted by Lukeweizer (2770 posts) -

I think it's just a marketing e-mail for the game that's coming out this week.

#4 Posted by PillClinton (3297 posts) -

Yes.

#5 Posted by crusader8463 (14429 posts) -

I wish. Would love to see that video. Would be like watching Jeff Cannata on Lingo and feeling weird because I know him from the internet all over again. Plus seeing Brad trying to deal with his stage freight in front of that audience would be humours.

I hope it's true and not some marketing scheme for some upcoming game.

However, I'd rather see him and the crew on The Price is Right. They can bring their own Bob Barker style microphone!

Heh. I was thinking exactly the same thing... JUST LIE TO US.

Brad would pwn on Wheel of Fortune.

#9 Posted by pyromagnestir (4339 posts) -

Never chase the wheel. That way leads only to tragedy.

#10 Posted by Joker369 (881 posts) -

#TeamBrad would make a return.

#11 Posted by sonicrift (305 posts) -

Pat Sajak does personally email every potential contestant.

#12 Posted by Hunter5024 (5978 posts) -

I bet it's not that hard to get a guy onto wheel of fortune. Lets make this happen.

#13 Posted by EpicSteve (6499 posts) -

I'm kinda weirded out you noticed that.

I was imagining more.. profane yelling at the puzzles and Vanna White.

"Sorry Brad, there are no 'R's."

"What?! Fucking...God...Fuck!"

I pray to the heavens and sweet baby Jesus that he would appear on the show, but yeah, seems like some marketing thing.

Guuuys, it's ok. Even if it's just the game that's coming out think of the Quick Look potential!

Did you not see the other messages in there?

  • "Big Beautiful Dating - BBW and BBM dating online"
  • "Proposal - Good morning, I am Mr. Chen Wei..."
  • "Neglected and lonely housewives search"

It's pretty obvious that's his spam folder.

Weirded out that he noticed the thing that Brad said aloud and Jeff pointed the camera at? What?

Spam is Brad's priority.

They explicitly talked about it and showed it.

Its time to spin the wheel!!!!!!!!

I so wish this was actually gonna happen tho, id watch a game show for the first time in years.

#23 Posted by ShadowConqueror (3088 posts) -

Pat Sajak doesn't invite people to be on the show. He is the show.

#24 Posted by DonutFever (3540 posts) -

He got a new job as cameraman on the show, he starts next week. That's why he's leaving Giant Bomb.

#25 Posted by MiniPato (2752 posts) -

Oh man, could you imagine how many times Brad would put his hand on the back of his head if he were on Wheel of Fortune? Hell, he'd just leave it there for the whole show!

#26 Posted by Phatmac (5730 posts) -

GET ON THE WHEEL

#27 Posted by JackOhara (227 posts) -

brad is quitting and going on wheel of fortune full time

#28 Posted by Milkman (17337 posts) -

Brad is actually taking over for Vanna White. This is his last week at Giant Bomb.

#29 Edited by jakob187 (21763 posts) -

Guys, I really don't want to blow your minds right now, but I have to. Get ready. Brace yourselves.

Brad IS the Wheel of Fortune.

#30 Posted by AndrewB (7691 posts) -

@jakob187: You mean they're replacing the wheel on Wheel of Fortune with Brad, or that they're rebooting the series with Brad as the star? The Wheel of Fortune.

And stage freight is so expensive, too!

#33 Posted by gbrading (2132 posts) -

Of course Brad's going to be on Wheel of Fortune. His life has been building up to it: Finally his dream of appearing on Wheel of Fortune is about to be recognized. Brad's entire life has been a dress rehearsal with one ultimate goal: The Wheel of Fortune.

Personally I wish him all the best and hope he spins the wheel well.

#34 Posted by eccentrix (1614 posts) -

No, you mistunderstood. Pat Sajak is the name of Brad's manager. He'd just finished working out the details for Brad's one-man opera, Wheel O Fortuna.

Ya, I have a bad habit of just right clicking on anything underlined in red and picking whatever the first option is without looking to see what it is.

#36 Posted by Hunkulese (2875 posts) -

I'm pretty sure it also said You have been chosen to be on a Wheel of Fortune.

Now you have me questioning what I meant as well. Damn. Both are such great options...

Alright, here's how we determine which one is the correct option: is Wayne Brady involved?

I would watch Wheel of Fortune if he was on it.

I do not think he is going to be on it.

On a related note, I am taking this opportunity to remind everyone of how Coonce was apparently on Price is Right once, a fact that the GB crew brings up any time something Price is Right related is happening.

Who else would spin the Brad? Not sure I'd like him being the showcase model for the new format.

#42 Posted by D_W (1199 posts) -

You know what as fun as Brad on Wheel of Fortune, but twice as much fun? Karen on Wheel of Fortune. #TeamKaren.

#43 Posted by ShaggE (6719 posts) -

Brad is Pat Sajak.

No, no, don't scoff. Think about it. Have you EVER seen Brad and Pat Sajak together? Ever notice how Brad rarely talks about Pat, and vice versa, as if he wanted to make sure people never connected the two? Exactly.

@Milkman said:

At least Brad saves them money by using Vanna's current wardrobe.

#45 Posted by supamon (1334 posts) -

Now I have the idea of a GB runned Wheel of Fortune where Ryan Davis takes over Pat Sajak; Jeff, Vinny and Patrick are contestants and Brad, of course, takes over Vanna White's wardrobe.

#46 Posted by Brackynews (4094 posts) -

Son, I watched Wheel of Fortune BEFORE they gave people RSTLNE by default. Word.

Would it be profoundly off topic to start posting old photos of Vanna White?

#47 Posted by Branthog (5597 posts) -

Even if it were legit, I'd hope he'd have the class to turn it down. Wheel of Fortune is to Jeopardy what Checkers is to Chess. Actually, not even quite that -- because Jeopardy is pretty dumb, too (half of it is a bunch of meaningless pop-culture bullshit that you'd only know if you spent all day every day watching television, in which case you'd be too dumb to answer all the other questions).

But now, Pat Sajak does NOT contact contestants. He barely even sees them just before they go on stage. It's a game show; not Inside the Actor's Studio.

Did anyone ever find that video?

Or is it lost to time?
