they are really enjoying dragon age, and want to tell you that it is worth your money. Dave is in love with baldurs gate next gen, and even Vinny seemed super interested. its only natural that they would want to promote such a interesting idea to them.
 
the fact that theres 4 ads is just because they havent taken many ads yet, so their ad generator is probably churning out most common words, which arent many at this point

Go run a site as extensive as this for a year and then come back to us.

just seemed like a little overkill, that's all... especially since both those banner ads animate.

There are already plenty of topics discussing  the ads on Giant Bomb. As with anything new, the way ads are handled is constantly evolving while the guys look for the best way to implement them. In summary I guess what I'm trying to say is...deal with it.
