In light of the whole Michael Jackson dying thing. Is this the first time that a real life person, who has had a video game made about them has died?
I just was thinking about this because how often do you hear about a person dieing and leaving behind a video game as part of their legacy.
Also, Moonwalker looked like an actually kinda fun game (Albeit weird), if only it came outon the wii virtual console
Is this a first?
There was a Beatles game, wasn't there? Called yellow submarine? I dunno if that would count, being about multiple people.
I was going to suggest that Bruce Lee game, but I'm fairly sure he died before the game was made. He died in the early 70's, right? That was before the game.
As some of the above posters have pointed out, it's certainly not the first, possibly the first non-sports personality though, but really who cares? He has died, and it's either a sad event, or it's not depending on your point of view, I don't really see why it matters whether or not it's a 'first'.
I'm fairly sure there were a bunch of C64, Atari etc games with celebrity endorsements by people who are now dead as well.
"@The_A_Drain: Man, you're wondering why people are wondering if it's a first when in almost every article someone says "FIRST!!!". Obviously, being first matters a lot on the internet."
I know, thats why 'first' was in inverted commas when I said I don't see why it matters, I was making the point that I don't see why being first matters so much on the internet, i'm seeing it everywhere and it just puzzles me why people feel such an urge to be the first to post, or something else equally pointless.
