Seems kinda weird to have a huge "5" on the website if it's a port for 360 of MGS4...

Not sure what to think really. Time will tell.

I would guess some Metal Gear for 360

I speculate that's it's going to be about Raiden. In Japanese "raiden" means lightning, which would explain the weather on the picture. Solid Snake has been milked out pretty much and he should be dead by now.

They should make a game about Otacon, his own sneak mission where Snake guides him through office buildings in order to hack something.

Nay its a 5 in the background, it would not make sense if it was MGS 4.
but Kojima never makes sense anyway so... i guess we have to wait:-(

Metal Gear Raiden or Ape Escape Solid

Hey Brad.  Whatever happened with this?  Just curious.  I saw the updates on there, but regardless, it's odd that nothing ever came of it.

They're remaking the original NES game in the MGS4 engine!!!

I'm confused now to tell you the truth. According to gamespot the announcement is supposed to be released today. But the counter is nowhere close to finishing today. And now Kotaku says that the site has 5 clocks and the last one runs out on June 1st the day of Microsoft's E3 press conference. If this is true than it's a BIG chance of the MGS 4 port that's long been rumored for the 360. AHHH! Too much thinking that my brain hurts. lol.

I've been thinking about getting a PS3, and Metal Gear Solid 4 has been the main reason (I've played all the others so I want to see what happens). I hope for Sony's sake that its not MGS4, but I hope for my bank accounts sake that it is MGS4. But, my guess is that it's a new game called Metal Gear Liquid; and in the game we will learn more about Liquid.

Why would they remake the original Metal Gear when they've already done so for the Gamecube? No, I don't think it's that. The gamer in me hopes to god it's the 360 MGS4 port, because that would mean I could finally put the MGS series to rest. Please, Kojima? Please?

P.S. If it is, I'm turning the game off when Snake puts the pistol in his mouth, because goddamnit, that's where the game ends.

Surely hinting this much at MGS5 and not announcing it would cause more of a negative reaction, I think this is probably MGS5.

I really don't want it to be MGS5, as I think Kojima should do something new, but take a look at this...

It's Metal Gear five. This time it stars Raiden. If you played MGS4 Snake says Raiden is the lightning in the storm. In the teaser everytime the lighting flashes you see the five. Maybe it will be on both systems. I don't this is all speculation.

N4G has unveiled that the "April 2007" text probably means nothing; it seems as though whoever put the animation together used a poster from the movie Grindhouse for some graphics, and forgot to clean up the image. You can clearly see the "Troublemaker" and "Dimension" logos towards the left and right of the date.

It's an "S" and it's the new Snatcher game being worked on by Kojima and Suda 51.  It's been known as "Project S" for years.

Raiden is Japanese for "thunder and lightning". That's why he talks about lightning and rain in MGS4.

April 2007 is when Raiden meets Rose.

That seems to be a 5, and probably is a Metal Gear game featuring Raiden as its main character.

Whatever it is, it is not MGS4.

I hope it has Raiden and Snake extreme half pipe skateboarding like the XBOX version of MGS 2.

I think they should kill Solid Snake once and for all. No more sequels to MGS4, please. A Raiden game would be awesome.

While I don't see the date in the image, (possibly fixed) April 2007 was when Grindhouse came out, and the rough edge art along the border of the image looks to be "borrowed" from the artwork of that movie poster.

EDIT: At the end of this video, Raiden says something like "but MGS4 is..." and then Rose replies "There is going to be a 5, right?"

I seriously doubt it's MGS5...it wouldn't be this soon.

Considering that the last "teaser" Konami threw out there emulated a green power logo (*cough*Xbox*cough*) and it turned out to be a watered down MGS for the iPhone, I'm of the mind that Konami likes mischief-making. Either that or its PR firm sucks.
